my general internet time is about to get even more limited than it has been. this means that my mse time will be even more sporadic and patchy over the next couple of months. so i think its time i stepped aside and let someone else take care of the daily thread rather than be unfair to all who use it by not keeping on top. does anyone want to take it on? send me a pm if so, or if you have any questions.
(if anyone thinks they might want to take it on but is not sure about keeping it, things should calm down for me again in sept/oct so giving it back to me might be an option if you don't want to keep it, though just now i can't guarantee things will be back to normal then but i cam guarantee i will have more time then than i am going to through august).0 -
A question about entering competitions that say are for kids....
Do you enter in your child's name or do you enter in your name and make up an age?
My son is 5 so sometimes I do enter in his name or more often in my niece's since if I won, they would go to her or her sisters'You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel0 -
Reference post 601 does anyone have similar information about twitter?0

Hi
If someone posts three post from the same company, does it then become 'their' competition and only THEY should post the comps for this company? The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -

From the Comping Guide
"At the end of the day, no comper 'owns the right' to post a particular comp but please take a moment, have a look around & ask in the Comps Discussion Thread if necessary to ask if there is a regular poster for a particular comp. Let's keep this a friendly place to play, avoid duplication & misunderstandings"
So the answer is "no" but regular posters get used to posting from their regular sites and can get upset if someone else posts from them.0 -
Thanks Lillias
Yes, some posters do get upset about it.
So silly when they'd only done 3 comps from this company. Could understand if it was a weekly one that they'd been doing for ages. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
I think that regular posters are justifiably irritated when they have been posting certain comps for a long time and then someone "takes over" and posts a couple of comps from that site and then drifts away.0
