Got back home about 30 min ago...

Zara is having her surgery now and they will call me within 30 min to let me know how it went.

Thanks a lot everyone, really shattered myself. Hope all goes well with her.

We had a very good, detailed consultation, she is having her right leg done today, will be picking her up Friday late evening. They normally only stay 3 nights but I have explained my situation and they will keep her in till Friday.

    Fingers crossed all goes well.

Oh, need a 54" cage - they were selling tem but at £150.00 I thought I may find a cheaper one somewhere else. Found one on Amazon, it is £90.00 plus £6.50 delivery.

Does anyone know a cheaper place to get a new cage, must me 54"?

If you do, pls let me have the link, thanks a million.

Ohhhh glad you're home ((((hugs)))) you must be a wreak

What are they doing? Hip replacement?

Poor wee lamb - wishing her a speedy recover and sure you're on tenterhooks (as I know I'll be tomorrow) until she's out of surgery.

Having a hunt for cages - best so far: (about the same as Amazon) eta it's more, sorry maths isn't my strong point!)

I am finding 48" ones pretty cheap but not 54". Does it need to be a cage or can it be the fabric type crate?

http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=774&pf_id=57842 would something like this work? I'm just thinking it can be folded up to store and you can buy the extra panels to increase the size

Rising, Katy - thanks a lot.....

They just called me, said op went very well and they started to wake Zara up..... they will call me tomorrow to let me know how is she doing...

This is the same cage I was looking at - at Amazon and seller own website:

    http://www.doghealth.co.uk/collections/crates-carriers/products/xxl-dog-cage

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Extra-high-GIANT-cage-ck54/dp/B004BZW7RY/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1338227161&sr=8-9

Amazon the cheapest but they say "Usually dispatched within 4 to 5 days." so do not want to risk it....

Will call the seller direct tomoeeow morning, spoke to them today and they said £90 plus £15 delivery... so £105. NO idea why they charge more for delivery if ordered directly from them?????

Goi8ng to sort this out tomorrow morning as absolutely shattered today...

    Thanks a lot everyone

    I was told 54" crate

Caroline - wish you were closer :( thanks for the offer

Sorry, really going to collapse to bed as I am shattered myself and Zara is in good hands....

So glad the op went well :)

With the puppy pen you can buy the extra panels to add to it to make it as large as you like. I don't know if it would be cheaper to buy the extra panels to make it the right size than buying a crate, my maths isn't up to much!

I guess the problem would be that the cats could jump in to it though with Zara which might be nice company for her but she may not appreciate it whilst she is recovering!
