I placed an order on 06/08/12 for an ipad2, money debited from my cc same day. After 4 workings days contacted them as order was still showing as processing, advised I should allow a few more days. Contacted them 8 days working days later, advised it was a popular item and they were trying to source the ipad2???? Requested immediate refund as I didn't trust them.....followed this up by e-mail on the same day 15/08/12, no response by 18/08/12 so e-mailed again! E-mailed again this morning as the supposed wait in the queue to speak to an advisor was 1 hr 37 minutes.
Contacted my bank (Halifax Plc), and they were great, opened a dispute resolution case over the telephone, credited my account......I just have to send them copies of the e-mails to/from this Sham of a company.
Only myself to blame.....should've done the research!!!!!0 -
The large table on this page might help in future. It's the PC Pro awards 2011 for online suppliers. The results are from feedback forms completed by their readers (I fill one in every year). I think the 2012 results should be due fairly soon.

Worst online retailer I've EVER dealt with. Placed an order for camera on 12/07/12, cancelled later the same day as SE were unable to upgrade my order to express delivery and I needed camera for family occasion.
On 16/07/12 the amount showed as a debit in my bank account and SE sent the cancelled order which arrived on 17/07/12 when I was not at home. Unfortunately the parcel was signed for by another family member in our business yard next to home. I considered keeping the camera as I was aware by this stage I had dealt with a dodgy company and feared losing both money and camera. Upon examination I discovered the camera had no UK warranty and no CE marking. Panasonic UK confirmed it was a grey market import, not intended for sale in the UK and would not be covered by their UK warranty.
After a lot of hassle and numerous e mails to SE, the camera was returned to them for refund. I have kept a copy of the tracking return so that I have evidence of the date and time the returned parcel was accepted by SE.
As yet they have not given me a date as to when I will have a refund. To date, they have had my money for almost 6 weeks and I have had nothing but hassle during that time. I have been constantly e mailing them seeking a refund and have been writing letters of complaint.

Hello
I like many of you on this thread have had huge issues with Simply Electronics, the difference though is that I am a SEO consultant and I have created a website for people to post and share their experiences of Simply Electronics.
The website is: simplyelectronicsreview.com (as a new forum member I cannot post click-able links. I would appreciate it if an established user can re-post the live link in a post below. Please note it is review.com, not reviews.com in the URL)
Here's the deal, you send me your reviews, complaints and dispute outcomes, and I'll make sure the website gets to the top of Google. My hope then is that so many people will see the reviews, that Simply Electronics will sort themselves out.
The website is brand new and I need your help to get things moving, please take a few minutes to post your experiences, as when others see reviews on the site they will add theirs too. Currently there is just my review, I need yours too!
If we all do our bit, I am sure we can make a difference!
Please pass this on, on other forums and threads...0 -

The web site mentioned in the above two or three posts doesn't exist that gets me worried.0
