I don't give a fig for sites such as these - as far as I am concerned "KWIKCHEX" are doing an excellent job - acting as the middle man in my dispute with simplyelectronics - contacting the company for me to get a full refund for me .......

Anyway - I fail to see what a "travel agent" is doing - getting involved in technical matters - surely "tripadvisor" should restrict it's comments to Ayia Napa and similar ?
"tripadvisor" obviously has an axe to grind - if you read the full article.......

what are kwikchex getting out of it though? im very wary about a company whose business model revolves around consumer advice. Where does their income come from, who pays the person dealing with Simply for you? You can get excellent FREE and legitimate advice right here on MSE

Personal opinion but kwikchex looks to me like it is trying to drum up business by making out review sites are generally bad.
They are feeding off a single case by the looks of things and BBC report quotes them as claiming to have dealt with over 3000 cases of online defamation. Quite frankly I am astounded in that case that I have never come across them before because with this number of cases since late 2010 I would have expected to have come across them on at least 1 news story read since then but nothing.
Looks to me they are just touting for business with a model destined to be unworkable.

No it isn't, it is an affiliate commission-earning website, which hosts reviews of hotels etc as a method of getting click-thru revenue.

based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. They have an office in the Isle of Wight, but think this may just be for show, nothing actually happens there

I used them about a year ago, all went well, delivery was slightly delayed compared to what I'm used to. But item turned up in about 2 weeks.
