If I made all the blackberry jam and marmalade that I said I was going to before I got ill then I'd have two free shelves in the freezer. Perhaps I can do that next week!!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Don't shop for the next few days, only menu plan from what you have in the freezer.
The freezer only has stuff for the meal plan for the rest of this month!!
I do menu plan - that's why now use my freezer when I never really did before!!
I prefer to plan for the month as we can never be sure when the kids will be sent round for the evening without having been fed by their mum
Planning monthly makes it easier for me to swap meals on short notice or just use the extra rather than freezing it.
Shopping this week will be for fruit, veg and milk and loo rolls etc.
I do now have a little room in there - until I make the double batch of curry tonight and freeze someworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Every shop, I intend just to get basics - but am attracted to these aisles like a blummin magnet!!!!
This is my problem too. Meal Plan, make a list - walk down the aisle and say "oooh that's reduced, haven't eaten that in ages, will buy that for the next week".working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Just take a walk to the shops for bread and milk, that way you won't be tempted by too much as you'd have to carry it all home.

We are doing some work to our house and moving the kitchen to a different room. Part of my reasoning is to fit in a bigger freezer. That can't be moneysaving, can it?!
OH has also decided that he will be building us a pantry at the same time - he says we need it to put all the *insert rude word from him* BOGOFs in. He gets fed up with going to get a towel out of the airing cupboard and having toilet rolls rain down on him0 -

I've just failed - bought 2 packs of chicken fillets on offer when I only needed one pack for next week - but it is moneysaving and will count to next months money.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
