Well you should not have to attend a medical at their centre, but a home medical is not ruled out. I don't know how you would proceed.
How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.
  • So does anyone please know who i should contact and by what method to get them to relook at this?I am having chest pains due to the stress of it all!

Have you anyone that you can get to telephone them and ask about the procedure for cancelling the medical and requesting a home visit or not having a medical at all. Say that you understood that your condition was one that did not require a medical.

I suspect that your doctor would need to write a letter explaining your condition and fax it to them but you will need to know who to send the fax to.

Please try to stop worrying. A simple phone call to ask how to get this changed to a home visit/not have a medical at all is all that is needed.

From their point of view they will not know how your condition currently affects you. Your doctor needs to tell them.

It means (I think) the DM has to seek further advice from a medical advisor as to whether an assessment at the medical centre is appropriate.

I am unsure if the Medical Advisor referred to means an Atos HCP, or, the claimants own GP, but suspect it could be an Atos HCP.

I think it may mean Atoss HCP because I had a medical a few weeks ago and i'm on a massive amount of morphine, my GP was trying to get them to do a home visit without success, my GP is wonderful and supportive, he'd have backed me all the way...
Must be there own stupid rules...

Ignore her she's a benefits basher..
not so much of a benefits basher as such, more of a sick of people with their hands permanently out thinking the tax payers owe them a living because they can't be bothered to work.

    Not directed at people who CANT work, O B V I O U S L Y...or who CANT find a job
When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

I'd have to have a home visit. My condition varies that much its way to unpredictable for me to commit to an appointment. I have had to cancel consultant appointments on the day as i have been unable to move.
Im also on morphine and due to start some immunosuppressent drugs on 30th may.
I'd be glad to pass the ESA medical for ANY group. I want to work again, am only 29 :(.
Not sure if i will even apply for it myself, seems very scarey!!! xx
