After applying back at the end of Jan having had Heart Op and an Unstable Angina diagnosis, i didn't hear anything until last week when i got an appointment for an ATOS medical on the 25th May.
I have read that my condition is one of those where you aren't required to have a medical as i'm at high risk of a heart attack and the stressof this certainly isn't helping!
Is it right that i have to attend,if not how do i complain/cancel my appointment without losing my benefits?
I had a medical a couple of years ago after a back operation, and my experience was horrendous and convinced me it's all a sham to throw you off benefits, whether your fit or not.

Is your condition listed as one which exempts you from the assessment for ESA?

Looking at what you sent it appears not, but this link i
found says different?
It wont let me post links as a newbie incase i'm spamming the system but its from a site called the full facts, has a list of category 1 conditions it reckons you dont need a medical for and unstable angina is on it?
Confused?0 -

That doesn't rule out a home medical.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
You want to be paid benefits but not do the medical? When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

Yes you are right, but from what I know with people that have one or more of the conditions stated in Section 1, none have had any medical, home or otherwise.

to be honest i wouldnt want a home medical. i cope very well at home, almost as well as anyone with no sight problems.
they needed to see me in an unfamilar place to appreciate my difficulties. i accept that a sensory impaorment is different from a serious medical comdition though

Asperger's is category 1 too, although it doesn't rule out the home medicals. It seems that in some cases they may find home medicals appropriate.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0
