This will give you an 800 drawer in the kitchen area and a 500 towards the dining, no gadgets though0

Those look great evokit. What do you mean by no gadgets as in magic corners?
I do wish there was some better CAD software than sketchup available that wasn't a suppliers website so I could do some better looking mocks myself0 -
yes no magic corners.
To the right of the cooker is a concave 900 x 900 base
to the left is a 300 base - so no corner there. next ot the sink is a smaller door to allow for an 800 drawer - more of a store away unit(things you dont uuse often)
I can email these to you if you like? have them full size so to speak.
No idea about Free CAD systems0 -
Nice Designs!! Kitchens can be designed in a lot of different ways, An open kitchen with everything out and handy, or a very tidy kitchen with everything put away behind closed cabinet doors. A more natural kitchen done in wood and soft colors, or a more contemporary look with splashes of bright color for the cabinets0

What software/web sites are people using for these designs??
[STRIKE]I'm thinking[/STRIKE], My wife is thinking about getting a new kitchen but we would really like to have a play about with the planning side of it before committing to styles and/or supplier.0 -

Most big kitchen companies seem to have their own CAD software but the independent I was in the other day used Winner Design however they don't have any trial version.
I used Sketchup by Google for my mocks which you can see in the first page, it's a general purpose CAD software so basically I've used it to make boxes of the right size as you can see but for planning purposes that's good enough for me as each kitchen company will make up their own design off that in their CAD software anyway.
If you're not confident with computers I would stay away from CAD altogether though and use one of the online planners - the best I saw was Wrens which has a good range of units and once you start playing with it is pretty flexible. Units are a mostly a standard size between suppliers so it should be enough to give you an idea of what fits in a space.0 -
Do you have a link to the Haeker planner, I can't find it.0
