I dont understand the point in this post, just take it back to Argos in the same condition you bought it - get a refund and buy the cheaper one. Simples.

Sat Navs are excluded from Argos return policy - and it's obviously not covered legally
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

I'm guessing so people can't 'hire' them for a weekend away or when required.

I had to take a drive to Scotland around November time and decided to purchase a sat nav from Argos for this exact reason. Although didn't realise until I checked their policy it was excluded so that well and truly backfired :rotfl:.

I did not say I was disappointed with the product or the price I paid for it. I was just seeking advice regarding the same owner charging different prices.
37 years in the Army had shown me the world but I'm clueless when it comes to shopping matters and that's why I asked experienced members of this site for some advice.

The 2 businesses are set up to cater to different consumers so of course items are going to vary in price in the 2 stores.

even when stores offer a price match e.g. currys, then it has to be "in stock", if homebase are out of stock and it seems it is not quite the same deal, then OP I think you just chalk it up to experience.
