Should I complain ?

Saturday I bought a Satnav from Argos it cost £99.99 today I seen the same Satnav on the Homebase sight for £30 less.
Is that just tough luck on my part for not shopping around or should I e-mail Argos ?
The Argos site said that it had been reduced by a £100 and thats why I bought it but the Homebase site said they had reduced it by £30.

Last time i noticed Argos and homebase were 2 different companies.

If you dont search around and you take the first price, who are you to complain for your lack of research.

You could probably return the item and make some excuse, up to you.

Maybe so but they operate under different names.

And can set the prices to what ever they like, as its there property and they own it untill you purchase it.

It really doesn't matter whether they are the same company or not, they do not have to sell a product at the same price in different branches.

Indeed, they do not even have to sell the same product at the same price to two different people in the same branch. Although that might be difficult to justify.

Is this the Mio Spirit 689?
If so, notice that Homebase do not supply a mains charger.
Not £30 I know, but I've not looked for other differences.

Don't email them. I expect would be nothing worse than working in Argos customer services, turning up on Monday morning reading the email and trying to think of a way to reply without implying the sender was a sandwich short of a picnic.

My advice to you would be that gambling is a mugs game and in this instance sending a e-mail to the bookie would not would not be of any benefit.
Gamblers anonymous probably would be more helpful

More to the point, both you and I got what we paid for. Both you and I only have grounds for redress if we did not get what we paid for. If we got what we paid for but we are disappointed, we should both be big enough to take the disappointment.

I did not say I was disappointed with the product or the price I paid for it. I was just seeking advice regarding the same owner charging different prices.
37 years in the Army had shown me the world but I'm clueless when it comes to shopping matters and that's why I asked experienced members of this site for some advice.
