I did not say I was disappointed with the product or the price I paid for it. I was just seeking advice regarding the same owner charging different prices.
37 years in the Army had shown me the world but I'm clueless when it comes to shopping matters and that's why I asked experienced members of this site for some advice.

I think 'complain' is the wrong word..

by all means send them a cheeky email asking for the difference (even as a gift voucher) but ultimately they can sell the goods for a price they see fit - price comparison is something you should have done before buying.

I thought that I had found the cheapest price but obviously I was wrong :) I did not know that Homebase sold gadgets I associated them more with building supplies and gardening.

It might help you to know that it is out of stock on the Homebase website.

So maybe you did get the cheapest available. ;)

if you've been in the army for 37 years don't bother with sat nav, use a map! You're military trained :)

OP, just take it back to Argos and tell them its faulty and you want a refund, they never check or argue (at least not in my experience anyway) and then order the cheaper one from Homebase.

I dont understand the point in this post, just take it back to Argos in the same condition you bought it - get a refund and buy the cheaper one. Simples.

Last time i noticed Argos and homebase were 2 different companies..

Online trading is exactly the same altho prices do differ on some items - I asumed Homebase had some sort of agreement with Argos with their online trading
