  • Hi Nicktoye,

Tags on the line are really annoying - you'd be in the same position with BT in this instance too (I'm afraid to say).

Whenever you've got tags on your line it's always worth giving BT a call on 0800 169 9576. They should be able to help get them removed.

I would be happy to look at your account to see what I can do for you if you PM me your username.

    Kind regards,
    SAmara

From what it sounds like it he still has a current service existing on his line (may not work from his pc to his phone still but the equipment on his line).

The most BT Wholesale can do is remove ADSL off a line if it belongs to the previous tennant at the address, otherwise they refer them back to the service provider who owns the ADSL on the line so they can either issue a MAC for the circuit or raise a cease of the broadband.
  • Hey Normanmark,

Just so I have this right - BT can't help because Talk Talk are LLU?

Thanks! You're the expert on tags and markers, I should have referenced you in the first place!

    Cheers,

Talk Talk use both LLU & Wholesale, so its case dependant with what the customer's service is provided by.

But as far as removals go, if a adsl connection is still existing on the line that isnt classed as a 'Tag' or 'Marker' & still the onus is on the ISP on the line to do their removal process :)
