Is your cough any better yet? I usually have to have anti- b's and steriods when mine gets like that (have asthma) so if yours hasn't cleared get back down there :)

And Grrr to hal1fax! I had a similar issue with b@rclays when i first started on my dmp. I just dropped the word 'harassment' in a few times and all numbers were deleted and they promised to contact me by post ;)

    xx

Starting to wonder if that is what I need to be honest, I am having so much problem just breathing, its not funny. That and a prescription for tena ladies!!! :(
    Granny

Apologies have just replied to your post on my diary, have been keeping an eye on you all just not my own diary.

Hope you manage to get some more AB, sooner rather than later. Like DFwannabee I Have asthma and COPD so have some idea of you must be feeling.

Glad you managed to speak to someone with a least a bit of common sense and who is not reading from a script. hope it gets some good results for you.

    How are the DGD's ? :D

I cant remember are you going away when you are off? If you are staying in the UK hope you have better weather than we did :(, that said we still manage to do things, have umbrella will go out :rotfl:. Typical British stiff upper lip :D

Have a good weekend and take care

    NRA xxx

No need to apologise honey, I read all the diaries and only post when I feel I have something to add, which is sometimes just my warped sense of humour coming out.

AB don't seem to have done anything more than clear my sinuses so I now have greeny snobs to go with my green mucus from my coughs - lovely. Sorry if that's tmi for some.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for H^lif^x because despite them saying its only a temporary arrangement, I know from other past experience, once they agree to a plan, it usually stays in place as long as you keep up with the payments. It's a better solution than an professional DMP as they reassess your income properly and ask for your wage slips, utility bills etc so harder to manipulate the figures. Also difficult to do F&F or larger payments to smaller predators to get rid of them sooner.

DGDs are wonderful as ever. Had to disappoint DGD1 last week, was supposed to be sleeping over but I just wasn't up to it. Was hoping to have her over tomorrow night but don't think I can do it. Maybe next weekend or maybe even Wednesday/Thursday pm if I'm better. DGD2 has taken her first unaided steps and is so proud of herself but at the moment will only do so to DGD1, anyone else and she drops to the floor or sofa surfs. :D

Going to Northumbria on 2nd August, so hoping this better weather holds out. Had planned to do lots of walking but with this bad chest infection, I don't think I'll be fit enough to go far but will do some and send OH out on long walks and enjoy the peace that brings. :rotfl::rotfl:

It'll just be nice to be away from work tbh.

I'm trying to decide whether to go shopping, fancy something nice for tea but don't know what. Maybe I will, as I am sure a bar of chocolate will make me feel so much better. Diet has definitely fallen by the way side this week.

Didn't end up going out after all because having decided I really fancied fish and chips, (I know, what on earth has happened to my diet this week), OH kindly found some battered fish in the freezer. Had a couple of softish potatoes, that made quite yummy chips and some relish on the side. Then OH found some club biscuits, so both cravings solved in one go. So ended up having NSD after all. Nearly purchased some skin care, as it was on a good offer, but decided I don't really need it, so stayed in surfing the net and watching tv.

Just depressed myself with tonight's casualty, so now gone off to bed, feeling a tad grumpy and thinking may read something funny tonight before I try to sleep.

Speak to you all tomorrow. Not likely to be NSD as going shopping but then again OH is taking me so may persuade him to pay instead. He had blinking good pay this month and is now talking about booking autumn holiday after all!

    Goodnight Gx2 x

    morning granny,

    Good morning

We split everything in the house 50/50 as we earn the same bottom line and then he pays for most of the food shopping, whilst I pay for the debts. The problem is when I want to eat differently to him, as he doesn't need to lose weight and when cooking uses a lot of oil. So recently when I was doing the detox thing that my DD recommended I had to buy my food.

The problem is, although he knows we have debts he doesn't know how high they are and would freak out if he found out. Our relationship is very ropey already so that would be the final straw.

Although I struggle financially, it is manageable if all the predators get on board at the low rate I've offered. And, even though it may take me 10 years to clear, I'm thinking of it in terms of a 10 year, interest free loan, so at the level I pay its ok. If I get a smallish pay rise I won't be increasing the payments, which is easier to do if you self manage the dmp. However, it does mean I have the stress of trying to get them to agree first. At the moment all bar 1 have agreed to 12 months at this rate and I'm hoping H^lif^x get on board too. Then its a matter of dealing with the yearly reviews when they happen.

It does get annoying when I'm being frugal and he's got money to splash and spend on hols but that was the deal. I refuse to pay for anything frivolous, except gifts for xmas and birthdays and if he wants my company to do such things, then he has to pay for me.

I'm getting stronger in standing up for myself though as the incident with the car shows and with such a good pay this month I'm going to tell him he has to pay for the petrol for my car when we go away. He won't like it but I just don't have the money, a fact he knows.

The thing that frustrates me the most is if the tables were turned, he wouldn't have to ask for help, it would just be there. He's not really mean, just thoughtless and it drives me mad. He rarely pays for gifts for others and despite knowing I want to give DS £500 for his wedding, he hasn't even offered to help.

I don't know what will happen to our relationship in the long term as there is only so much a person can take but at least now I'm not as trapped as I was before. I simply could not afford to leave him in the past but now know that by sorting things out financially that option will be there in the future. I'm hoping that once I get over that feeling of being trapped, I won't feel the need to run so much, as seriously he's not all bad, just emotionally lazy.

Oops, sorry for the long post, you started something there :D

On a brighter note, I feel a bit better this morning, didn't cough as much last night and chest doesn't seem as tight. Going to pick my DGDs up later and have a bit of Granny fun

  • If the deal was to pay for the food out of his money, i'd make sure he paid for all of it, diet or not ;) maybe that's just me being mean though! My dh is the same, and if you'd read my last diary i was constantly debating whether to leave him. I know he loves me, he knows exactly how much debt we're in too but again like your oh is emotionally lazy & just seems to do what he wants to do. So long as the debt doesn't bother him he doesn't care about changes i've made around the house (i.e selling everything, changes to grocery budgets etc) Bah! smiley-confused005.gif they confuse me they do !!

Anyway have a fab day playing with the grandkids emoticon-cute-001.gif

Sadly the deal is he pays for food so he thinks that if he is paying for it, he gets to choose what is bought. I can put the odd thing in the trolley but any more than that he expects me to give him the cash. As it's me that wants to get stuff today, its difficult getting him to pay. I will try though.

My OH to a tee, as long as the changes don't affect the life he thinks he deserves that's fine by him. I too know he loves me, although he doesn't like me at times I'm sure. He also has no great desire for me either, which is why I have to resort to 50 shades :rotfl: and makes me feel ugly at times, not through anything he says or does, more what he doesn't. At least I know he'll never leave as he really is too emotionally lazy :rotfl:
