ps - somehow I seem to have picked up a stray helicopter pilot - does anyone know who he belongs to? :rotfl::rotfl:
 put him down, or better still  perhaps not. Enjoy the silence. I managed to cough myself to the edge of the bed and wake up teetering having dreamt of falling into an abyss .....Doglet had the remaining 6foot 4 inches of duvet and bed and was one-eyed glring at me for waking him up! Puppy cheek!

Hope you don't cough yourself into falling out of bed tonight. LOL at Doglet x
The night in the hotel was pretty non eventful really. Slept okish, not having to try to smother coughs in attempt not to wake OH, so coughed away with great abandon all night. (not sure what the guests either side of me made of me barking all night mind you)
I am shattered this evening, left hotel for work at 9.30am and got back to my house at 9.15pm. Instead of day off tomorrow, have to work, as urgent matter to be resolved, that only I or boss can do and guess what, he's nominated me. He has agreed, however, to my working from home and should be able to finish early so that's one consolation.
Gargrave, you will be happy to note I took your advice and didn't go anywhere other than train station, to hotel, to away office, to train station, to home, so NSD as all food expenses covered by work and as car park also being reimbursed by them tomorrow counting it as a NSD. Kept some of my magazines for return home trip and had coffee in office and then filled up flask and water bottle before I left so no unnecessary expense. Also had strawberries, pear and bag of savoury snacks left over from yesterday.
In exactly 1 week, I finish work for a fantastic 18 days off and I so cannot wait. Antibiotics seemed to have cleared sinuses but chest is still as rattly and phlegmy as before. I think I may have to resort to 2nd dose as I've only got 1 day left to take. See how it is in the morning.
Off to lurk for a bit and then try to sleep for at least part of the night.

I've been diagnosed with bronchitis, sinusitis and chest infection, so blasting the dear bugs with antibiotics. Both OH, (bless) and I are shattered through lack of sleep, even though I've camped in the other room. I keep losing my breath and having to run for a drink and then the loo. Maybe I should just camp in the bathroom :(Gx2 x
Aww Granny, just catching up, so sorry to hear you are ill. Hope you are feeling better. Just off to catch up on everything ive missed now. Big Hugs

Over the last couple of days I have been bombarded by phone calls from Blair, 0l1ver & Sc0tt the DCA who have taken over my H^lif^x debt. If you remember I had a letter from them last week confirming this. I dutifully rang them on Monday, in my one and only ever attempt to explain things over the phone, there after to be dealt with by post.
Anyway on Monday, whilst feeling under the weather I rang them and before I had a tirade of information thrown at me down the phone I tried to explain my financial situation. Surprisingly, NOT, I got nowhere, the silly call centre person of foreign descent, stated I should pay nearly £14k, in full, within 28 days. So I once again tried to explain my current situation, at which point the phone seemed to play up her end, as all I could hear was, "hello, hello, are you still there?" over and over, so I hung up.
That same day I typed up a copy of my letter to H^lif^x and printed out my financial statement, which I duly posted the next day.
Tuesday, morning, afternoon and evening, my home office phone did not stop ringing. As I had come home to go to bed I ignored it.
Wednesday morning, it was the turn of my house phone and after 4 calls, I finally gave in and answered. Started having the same conversation with another call centre person, who again seemed to have problems understanding English and again with her phone, so once again I hung up.
Thursday it was the turn of my mobile, not even sure how they got that number as I deleted it from their site many months ago, and again after 2 calls, I decided to answer. I did think, wrongly, that they may have received my letter and were ringing to confirm. Silly really, as in my letter I said no phone calls, just letters. Anyway, again they appeared to have phone problems so once again I hung up.
Today, logging into my home office phone, I realised they'd left a message and another phone number for me to ring, so I decided to bite the bullet and do so, as otherwise I couldn't see these calls ending anytime soon.
Finally, I seemed to be speaking to someone with some sense, who did not seem to have problems with English or in the use of a phone. I explained, briefly, my situation, explained that I had written to them this week, explained that I wanted all correspondence to be conducted in writing as I was fed up of going over the same thing repeatedly and was shocked when she offered to delete my phone numbers from her system!
She put a hold on my account for 14 days, in anticipation of my letter and stated they would write to me regarding this when received.
Now this is the last of my predators that is still charging interest and not to have yet defaulted, (well other than my catalogue and Arg0s card, which I use in emergencies) so if this gets sorted I will be so happy. Of course I'm nervous as they could refuse my offer but at the end of the day, they can't take what I haven't got and as long as I deal with things in a logical fashion if and when they arise, there is not much they can do. I have explained in my letter that my offer to them gives them a better return than bankruptcy or IVA, so hopefully they are not stupid. The amount I'm offering them, whilst lower than minimum payment, is a large proportion of my surplus income, as they are my biggest predator, so fingers crossed.Targets

Is your cough any better yet? I usually have to have anti- b's and steriods when mine gets like that (have asthma) so if yours hasn't cleared get back down there
And Grrr to hal1fax! I had a similar issue with b@rclays when i first started on my dmp. I just dropped the word 'harassment' in a few times and all numbers were deleted and they promised to contact me by post
