Just wondering if anyone have had any success with these?
Put in a complaint 8 weeks for my hubby he took the card in 2004 didn't tick the box (postal application) for ppi as he knew being a self employed taxi driver it was no good to him. When he rang to activate the card the bloke on phone asked hubby what his employment was then said ppi no good to you then, but I can give you a different cover if any of the cards in your household are ever lost or stolen, it's only recently after checking his online statements we noticed it was actually ppi...the cheeky so and so must have just added it on anyway and lied about what it actually was..I'm so annoyed..anyway the 8 week timescale has been and gone so contacted them and they say they sent me a resonse on 4th May, just waiting to recieve it, I hope it's good news......

Yes they have.
Cap One have a very good reputation on handling complaints fairly. The FOS only overturned 11% of complaints with them in the last 6 months of 2011.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks Dunstonh there's hope then, they didn't say what the contents of the letter were just that the complaint had been dealt with and a letter sent...0

Result, after still not receiving the letter that was supposed to be sent 2 weeks ago, I rang cap one again today, they said they would send another copy, I asked what the contents were and they said a settlement offer of £1,961.78 yyeehhh I cannot thank everyone on this Site enough for all there support and advice0

DIY is the only way to do it IMO. you'd be mad to use a CMC.Defaultless as of 12th Sept 2012

OH I get it your promoting CMC I havnet spent pointless hours at all for one thing with my very busy lifestyle I wouldnt have time to I work full time am out 3 nights a week as I run various clubs..I have stupidly used a claims handler and imo they done absolutely nothing I couldnt have done mysellf,,i it took me about 10 mns to ty type my template letter and a few stamps and I got to keep all of my money Myself reslut..my ,money is precious to me I prefer that a CMC does noy get a portion of my money for doing the same thing typing a template letter and sticking a few stamps on...hey you dont happen to work for a CMC do you by any chance chuckl1es???0
