I've had a few removed over the years as they were under my arms & I kept catching the one, the other one kept itching, another I didn't like it so asked them to remove it & they did, another one on my boob was removed because I'd previously had boob cancer. Get them checked out, they're probably harmless.0

If it is 'annoying' you in a cosmetic way, then you might need to go for private removal, but if it is 'annoying' you in other ways, then NHS may do the job.mummyroysof3 wrote: »im going to ring the practice in the morning and ask if i need to see gp or nurse can take a look..tbh even if they say its nothing to worry about im thinking of finding out how much it would cost to get remove cos it annoys me
I've had two raised ones removed: one at the top of my leg and one on my waistline. Both were being aggravated by clothing from time to time, which started them bleeding. If that hadn't happened, I'd never have remembered I had them!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
A friend of mine who is a GP has recently had one of his moles removed as it was cancerous. He has been given the all clear now, but one of the things he's been trying to emphasise is that GPs would rather check out an innocent mole than not check out something which might be a problem.0

I've had one removed on my neck, for the same reason, kept being irritated by clothes and so was always either bleeding or nasty and scabby.I've had two raised ones removed: one at the top of my leg and one on my waistline. OP if you do need to have the mole removed, try not to worry it's a very minor procedure.0 -
I had one lasered off roughly a month ago just beside my arm pit which was slightly raised and bleeding.
Took minutes to do and no problems since. It did nip slightly when being zapped, but nothing to grumble about and recovery was quicker as no stitches.
Glad I got it checked and removed though so please book that appointment to do the same.0 -

I'm always amazed that doctors these days don't actually photograph the offending mole as well as measuring it.
Glad you've had it checked out. My friend had a lump on her leg she didn't like the look of. 3 different doctors in two different practices said there wasn't anything to worry about. In the end she insisted they took it off - her doctor did it at the surgery. Turned out to be melanoma. Her doctor was terribly apologetic, thankfully she's OK now.Make £2025 in 2025
