Sheeps are skinned alive for these boots so that they don't have to kill off the parasites that live in the fur. No one with any morals should buy Australian sheep skin.

Lol-est comment ever on this board!

Once again, for the benefit of the scare mongers and doom sayers. PETA has claimed that SOME FAKE Uggs from CHINA MAY, that is MAY be made from animals treated unethically.
(Plural of Sheep BTW is, well, Sheep)

These boots are genuine from an established company. If really feel you must be the harbinger of doom please spread it amongst people buying fake Uggs from China, NOT people buying genuine sheepskin boots from a reputable UK source. Otherwise you look rather silly.

Isn't that the point of sheep-dip (to kill off parasites, from a living sheep's fleece?). Not sure I understand, never heard of that!

Heck no, skinning alive is the only way to get rid of parasites, everyone knows that! Best and easiest treatment for fleas, head-lice, dandruff even. List is endless, come to think of it - what about blisters, pimples, splinters....

Heck I've even heard a rumour from my cousins, neighbours, Aunts, friends Mother that some Uggs aren't even made into boots and you just put your foot in the sheep!

    P.S.
I find morals to be very overrated ;)

I was one of those who ordered a month ago, when the website glitch was happening (and didn't get the Ugg Care Kits). I ordered three pairs of boots, one for me, my baby niece and little sister.

The Hut really confused the heck out of me. When I chased it up, they said, we'll despatch three Ugg Care Kits to cover those three orders. Weeks later, and a few contradictory internal emails later..nothing. Sis got a hold of the postman as advised, but, still nothing.

Then a £14.99 credit appeared on my account with no warning, a few weeks into me waiting for these Care Kits! One person at The Hut said, you're not getting them: the £14.99 is to cover the Care Kits. Another person said: You ARE getting them, check with Royal Mail.

A month later and I phone The Hut (the guy was very nice, I have to say) who now say they didn't send ANYTHING and the £14.99 credit was to replace them.

The Jumbucks are fabulous by the way, I LOVE them and they're well worth the money, just wish they hadn't got me so confused! (Internal emails on a website suck, the last time I dealt with internal email runarounds was with ebuyer, who have dreadful CS).

Yours, Still Ugg Care Kit-less :(

PS: A week ago size 8s came back into stock; the boots were cancelled and a Care Kit was despatched..didn't get that either, so far.

Oh well, by happy accident, I have ended up with an Ugg Care Kit. I ordered another pair of Jumbucks which turned out not to be in stock, and they despatched a Care Kit first! So I got one by default!

I ordered in May, got the boots but no care kit - multiple e-mails & calls, & several promises later - still no care kit. The Hut customer service people are really nice when you speak to them, but I think they must just be told to lie to customers.......I think they must hope you'll give up in the end.

Really sorry meanmum, maybe they just wanted the customers off the phone and told them what they wanted to hear. I did a lot of needless running around too. Pretty shoddy CS, but great boots.
  • I have a brand new in box pair of jumbuck three button boots in chestnut. I would like to swap for a pair in size 7 any design
