Mine have arrived and the fur feels rough compared to my Emu boots, almost synthetic.
I saw THeHut on Ebay had a neg for these saying they weren't sheepskin or something and I see what they mean, even though the label says sheepskin I wonder if the Shearling does make them feel different, they feel more rough like actual wool if you know what I mean hehe

Checked the label and def says Australian sheepskin and that they are made in china.
I did wonder about the fluffy lining and if it was synthetic but where the buttoned parts are (on the boots I have) you can see where the wool has been sheared back more so it is actually the wool attached to the sheepskin.

My older boots have come up well after using the cleaner from the kit ;)

One of the sites mentioned on the mumsnet link has a sale, this is one of the biggest reductions: http://www.shepherdslife.co.uk/chelsea-knit.html (£40 from £110), though I really don't like the cardi style. Might be useful for someone!
  • I received my short chestnut Jumbuck boots and cleaning kit at the weekend. They aren't as soft as Emu or as thick soled as Fitflop, but for £20 they are very good.
The kit seems good too, bargain, and quidco on top. Can't complain, thanks OP. xx

I ordered through Amazon, I contacted IWOOT when they had not turned up over a week after I got the despatch email, they said they must be lost in the post and refunded my payment.

i also orderd on the 12, two pair, one for my little one which have arrived, and a pair for me, ive had the cleaning kit but not my boots, i have e-mailed them and they replied that they are moving to a bigger and better warehouse and that they would be with me soon, to be honest do not have a lot of faith that i will actually recieve them, and i will have to ask for a refund.

I ordered 2 pairs through Amazon - one through IWOOT and one through Allsole (all same company as The Hut I've been told) and even though I placed the order mid May and was told that they had been dispatched. Never recieved either boots, hence was refunded. I wonder if they ever sent them at all, perhaps with all they sold through their sister company the hut - couldn't fufill the orders. Very strange that other people have all had the same problem! I'm just sad that I didn't receive any at all, as they looked nice boots at a reasonable price.:(

There was something on the forum earlier in the year about cheap Ugg type boots and the live skinning of raccoon dogs and other animals in China .. can't remember who started the post but these seem so cheap I'm very suspicious. Would be interested to hear what the fur is like inside.

Yes, please be careful, raccoon dogs are skinned alive for this type of thing. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2059631/The-dogs-dying-fake-UGG-boots.html

    It is awful :(
