First spends of my June GC today. £33.10 going to my second purse for items I've used since the weekend. At this point last month I had already spent £58 so there is some progress.....

Off to my (postponed) gardening client today as DS2 has perked up and is ready for school :j Being self-employed (both of us) and having sick children is not a good combination !

    Have a good day everyone.

£10 off a £60 spend in Lidl too:
18° Tomorrow Daily Express £10 Lidl Voucher! £0.45
    5

I've just spotted it in the today edition of The Daily Express, so tomorrow they will issue a £10 Voucher for LIDL and can be redeem if you spend £60 in one sale. As we know Lidl is not selling online so we have to cut the voucher from the newspaper and redeem it in the store. I've found a few deals on their website so I think it could be a good way to save some quids...
    Enjoy!!!

Ooh, please can you pm me?! When I moved into my house, I had some growing, but didn't know what it was, just thought it was weeds, so got rid of it!! Stupid, stupid girl!

Done PG, hope you get some, wish I had a garden big enough to let it run wild!

JJ - Keep an eye out for Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata) aka Jack by the hedge, if you have any growing wild near you, another soup, pesto, salad, herb bread (when finely chopped) free food addition. When the leaves are bruised it's really garlicky with a taste of mustard to it.

Re Wild Garlic aka Ramsons, you can use the bulbs of Wild Garlic like little shallots if you get a glut in the future and they're really nice pickled for an unusual foodie hamper for gifting, you need to get lots of bulbs though and no plants for the following year! I've made a Wild Garlic flavoured mustard with it :) On this weeks meal plan is a Chorizo & Wild Garlic Tart recipe I found this week which once I've harvested the leaves I have everything in for http://foodfun.blog.co.uk/2010/04/03/chorizo-and-wild-garlic-tart-8301709/ I'll shut up now lol

Morning all :) Went to Mr A yesterday we had one of those £5 off a £40 spend vouchers that needed using up so stocked up on loo rolls, cat food, long life milk and other non perishables. Got a couple of baking bits and spent over £50, once the voucher and other savings kicked in it came down to just over £44 but won't need to buy milk, cat food, flour or loo rolls for the rest of the month now. Apart from some fruit and veg at weekend I don't need to spend that much until about Wednesday next week :)

Had small words with Mr C when shopping, we like a usual sauce mix for making a quick tea, I spotted an own brand one that could do the same thing if I added some chilli and garlic, it was half the price of the branded one but he wouldn't budge, sticking to his but I like that one line. So next week I'm going to pick up one of the cheaper sauces, make tea with it and see if notices! I tried to explain about the down grading brands to save money but he's convinced you sacrifice flavour/quality etc, how can I show him it won't if he won't try it

Managed 3 NSD's in a row so far in this months budget, this is good for me as we used to go shopping nightly spending from £20 - £30 on nothing really! Can I just ask if you buy something which is from another budget or someone else in the house spends money do you still count it as a NSD, what I mean is are NSD's only attached to GC money?

I sold my kindle on e!ay at weekend so was quids in, got as good price for it as well, was expecting a lot less. Then I read two other threads on OS, one on cookery books and ended up buying a new cook book, this is after browsing and buying two River Cottage books after ideas another thread gave me and buying the takeaway book that Flo pointed out earlier this week :D In my defence they were bargains and the money is coming out of my kindle pennies and the books will make some tasty goodies to save pennies on shop bought stuff ;) French exam tonight, and we're having a end of term party so making Lemon Verbena Madeleine's to take, standard french recipe with a little herbal twist of my own. Need to stick bread maker on as well and make some garlic, mint yogurt dip to go with tea later ohhh and revise. Sorry for the waffle, have a good day everyone :)
