Upping the budget this month, think I need to take it more slowly. Tried to knock £20-£30 off each month, but this month I've totally blew the budget. Must try harder!!!Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -

Hello all, I am going to join the challenge in June and am starting off with £200 a month for 4 of us. We'll soon see if that's manageable I guess.0

I have not been reading or posting on the GC threads for a few weeks. I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease on 24th April and, being a veggie aswell, I have gone a bit overboard buying lots more than I need. If I saw something I could eat I got it. I think I was a bit worried I might starve:o
I am going for £400 this month. My month started yesterday and runs until the 21st June. This is to cover me (GF), DH and a 2 year old who eats more than I do but who has most of his meals during the week elsewhere, 2 small dogs and alcohol, meals out, takeaways for DH and all laundry and cleaning stuff.
I have just found out I will probably not qualify for a student loan for my course fees for this year and next so I need to find £700 very quickly so this budget will probably need to be squeezed!
£118 spent yesterday at Mr A on a stock up shop of basics and meals and booze to last until next Friday.
Good luck to you all in JuneSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

I'm going to do this again as need to keep June's spend low, just spent 108 in Mr S's!!!!! Which will count as May Spends and have now stocked up on stuff and meat for BBqs! So in June I'm going to try and shop in Aldi with one trip to Mr S and one to Mr A for stuff I can only get there. I get a veg box too and grow as much veg as possible as well. So my target for June will be £250 pleaseGrocery challenge July £250

Yay! A new thread:j
I will post on here now as my weekly grocery spend begins on Saturday (tomorrow).
I'm back from the kidsclub. Biriani went down well and I have enough in the big thermal cooker to box up for future meals too!
I pulled out a cheesy courgette bake out to defrost this morning so that's tea sorted! We also have a rhubarb crumble in the fridge from yesterday's baking session over so that's pud sorted:j
I know it's a hot day but food is food, whether hot or cold. At least the kids are getting their fruit n veg down them
Everybody, don't forget the cheap bacon tomorrow at Lidl. 69p per pack of back bacon!!!!!! Whoop whoop:j
I am gonna get 8 tomorrow and 8 sunday. I know that is more than a third of the weekly budget which starts tomorrow , but that's the way I roll!!!! I only have a wee small shopping list for next week as my stocks are increasing very nicely, thank you very much indeed!
Have a lovely day in the sun folks.

Hope you don't mind if I join the challenge with you all.
We're a family of 5 consisting of me, DH, 6 year old and 2 teenagers plus the cat. I'm going to set the June budget at £400 just to start us off and will keep all the receipts to see what the damage is. It seems quite a high budget compared to other peoples but its a starting point to chip away at.Grocery Challenge: June £92/£5000 -
