How do I get the new contact less debit card from Natwest? I rang them and they said they are testing them out with select customers only and refused to send me one?
Does anyone have a Natwest current account wireless card?

They aren't available to all customers yet. There is a pilot in the London area and all those customers will get one. There is a staff pilot as well. I have one!I work for Natwest.0

If the pilot goes well, you may receive one when yours expires. Some banks think that replacing everyones card will cost too much.0

I have one. I called them and asked for one. What colour is your card? If its blue you won't get oneDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

I called and asked for a card and was told no, because I live in Glasgow and they were only trialling them in London. A few weeks later my account was moved to the City of London branch from the Glasgow branch because I was wanting to dodge the Santander switch, I called them on the day of the transfer and they agreed to send me out the new contactless cards, even though I'm still in Glasgow.0

The facts about contactless cards at NatWest:
1. Customers in the London area have been sent contactless cards to see if they are a success or not.
2. Any customer (with some exceptions, e.g. customers with "blue" debit cards) can opt-in to receive a contactless card.
3. Some staff will not know what you are talking about if you ask to opt-in, and will say that the cards are only available to customers in London. This is either because they haven't been told or because they didn't read the memo.0 -

This is correct, as long as you have a purple card you can request a contactless one. If you haven't managed to speak to someone who has ordered one for you, give them another call and ask them to look on your guide and then debit cards. The form to fill in to request a contactless card for a customer is there.0 -
I do have a current plus account with a purple card, might try and ring again for one0

Just to head off potential disappointment- they are not life changing. Unless you could the 3 seconds saved paying for your morning cappuccino as life changing!0

After some run around this morning on the phone NatWest are sending me out a contactless debit card to replace the card that will expire next month. Also just to confirm I'm not in London either.
So if you want one you just have to call them and hope you get through to the right adviser.0 -
if you really want one... so soon..
