    Property-People Belfast

We have been made aware of a YouTube video alleging unprofessional conduct by an unnamed member of our staff in an unidentified property. While we have not received any direct complaints about this alleged incident, we take these allegations very seriously and are currently investigating the veracity of these claims.

We subscribe to the Property Ombudsman’s professional code of conduct and expect all our staff to behave in a professional manner.

Unnamed member of their staff - they know full well who the staff member is, this stinks of admitting nothing in the face of some pretty compelling evidence of law-breaking activity. If they have any sense they will throw the guy under a bus and wring their hands claiming it is a rogue/one-off and hope they get away with it.

If they do the stupid thing and get aggressive about it, they run the real risk of multiple copies of the vid springing up/trending and adding fuel to the flames.

I have to say I understood it perfectly, but its Scottish accents that get me, not all of them but some or the really strong ones.

I hope they reported this to the PSNI as the guy threatened them and they have proof. They would log it just in case.
    No, it's a N. Ireland accent.

Unnamed = the member of staff is not named in the video, or on the internet. Hence perfectly true and pretty much a standard way to comment. Do not fall into OTT condemnations of tangential issues, they are only likely to move attention from the key issue.

Hopefully the key issue will be pretty well investigated!

It made the BBC news today - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-18064341

Video blocked 'due to a legal complaint'. Anyone got a clone link?

I think Property People should be awarded the 'Sunil Dhown' medal for services to letting agency.

According to a post on this link, Sunil Dhown is connected to an Indian restaurant in Twickenham. I have no idea if that is true, I must admit, but it's surprising what you can find from a quick google.

Just wondering, does anyone know who is behind Property People Belfast?

And are they any relation to Brendan Kiely of Watchdog fame? (OK, just joking, I have no reason to speculate on that).

Shocking, assuming it's accurate. This shows the agent not the landlord threatening tenants, though, doesn't it?

Surely threatening violence is simply criminal (assuming an accurate recording - at the end the agent threatens to not the tenants effing head off, and then helpfully confirms that they are threatening them). Hopefully the police are involved.

    Correct, apologies and now amended.
