they must have been trying offering you their crap deal - in my opinion!

it would be that ugly galaxy europa phone with 200 minutes and 1gb internet and zillion texts for £8/month.

which sound great untill they tell u it is 24 months contract.

ha ha ha-yes it was. what a crap deal too- even suggested i buy the galaxy s2 off ebay or somewhere to take up the sim card offer. yeah right cos who has £400 quid laying about.

I can assure you my formerly locked to 3 Sony Ericsson Cedar worked fine with my Tesco Mobile SIM and is now working perfectly happily with my Orange Panther contract SIM

Just going back to the VAT issue, whenever I was given a new tarriff by 3 they would fail to include VAT, thus selling it to me without VAT to lower the cost. I had to ask after the quote "did this include VAT" and the scammers would have to work out the real cost for me. They still lie through their teeth though, little of anything they'd promised would actually happen...

In case anyone was going to cancel a Three contract this weekend, I tried to cancel yesterday and was greeted with a recording stating that their systems are down all weekend for maintenance.

I will call again on Monday but I hope this doesn't mean the contract rolls over for another month

Last month phoned 3 requesting a PAC. They offered to put me through to retentions and I accpeted. Was transferred to a UK call operative and hey were unable to offer me SIMonly. Got transferred back to off shore and PAC given to me ny text. Text arived with PAC code.

Whole processOnly took 10 minutes
