So - its been a while and things have moved on. Some good, some not so good.
Mr MM has taken the other job. He can't wait to start and I'm very proud of him and pleased for him as he was getting a bit stagnant at the other place. This new job is a step up and he is really looking forward to it.
We've had to buy a second car so that he can get to said job. This is after making the decision to go down to one car earlier this year. We've had to raid savings to buy said car.All the spare money that I was going to throw at the mortgage and get some stuff done around the house will now be paying back savings.
Such is life.
Onwards and upwards so they say. If I put my positive head on I can manage to tell myself that it only puts me back by 4 months-ish if we're all very good etc. However, I had got my head around having a little bit more money to make the grocery shop easier and perhaps have a coffee out once in a while. Mantra: its just four months, its just four months, its just four months!
We're also fixing the mortage for 5 years. Found a good deal and I like the sense of security that comes with it.
Will wander off and catch up with everyones diaries now.

Plenty of Tilly Tidies done.
Got my savings mojo back again and am making big dents in repaying the savings fairly quickly.
:money:for today:- drove to National Trust place but as we're not members anymore didn't want to use their car park and pay for it. Parked on road and entrance to the common is free anyway. Took drinks and snacks. Had a coffee (OH) and hot chocolate (me) in the cafe on way back but this came out of fun envelope so all OK.
- Tea from stores.
- cleaned BBQ and returned to lovely neighbours who'd lent it to us with a bunch of home grown rhubard to say thank you.
9 sleeps to go until holiberries. All paid for. Need to buy some snorkels and then we're all set!
I have been reading diaries but so pants (not Natty's ones) at posting. Keep up the good fight.

Been on holiday. Was lovely. A real treat for us and we spent a good deal of time laughing and having fun.
Back into the real world now but still carrying on the positive feeling from holiday. We are just within this months budget. Its been a bit of a struggle to stay within but we're almost there. Petrol was the main issue this month with a few unplanned but necessary trips.
Food budget just about squeaking in under the mark. I've got about £4 in my purse to last until Friday but we've just done a shop today that will last us. Might not even need to get milk. Fingers crossed.
Kids are off to Mum's again on Tuesday morning - what would I do without her during the holidays? She is an absolute star. I'll go and fetch them Weds pm - the petrol should just about make it.
One of the things I was going to spend our spare income on this autumn was a decorator. Having bought the second car we've hammered the savings and can no longer afford this. So - I'm doing it myself! I can paint better than Mr MM (he gets bored of it). It will save us a good deal of cash and we still get the house done. Managed to do hall, stairs and landing today. :A
Roll on payday!

I feel your pain re the shopping/food budget MM. I have taken my cards out of my purse and had to add everything up in my head during today's cash only shop - I miscalculated by £2, fortunately I asked for a subtotal before the final 2 items so spared my
ever so slightly.
I'm glad the holiday was good, and well done you on the decorating front:TFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

OK. £2.56 Tilly Tidied today. Grocery shopping done with lovely little pink MM. Blue MM at his friends for most of the day.
Mr MM started his new job today! Bless him. I felt nervous for him and everything. He left at the crack of sparrows farts this morning so we'll all have to get used to that. He did try to be quiet though.
I've managed to fill up the annual expenses pot that was depleted by purchase of second car. Have made a start on filling up the other pot that took a hammering now. Should be all back to where they were by beginning of December.
Selling a couple of kids winter coats on ebay. I thought I'd save them from last year to see if they sell better in the Autumn rather than the Spring. One already has a bid on it and the other one has watchers. Fingers crossed.
Cobbled together £1 worth of 2p's from the copper jar today. Will try and get to the bank to pay it in tomorrow. Need 1p to make a £1's worth of pennies - will be looking out for roadkill like a hawk!MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
37p TillyTidy today.
Of far more importance though is the fact that I have made it through another summer holiday of juggling work and childcare. They are back to school tomorrow - praise the lord and hallelujah!MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
