If my bloke spent that kind of money we didn;t have on something unnecessary when I was scrimping to try and pay off the OD, he'd be very nearly histoyr unless he sorted it out. I think it's disgraceful. I can;t believe he spends all the money and you have to get a secondhand SC off Freecycle! I'd be furious.

    Men!
    Footie!
    Stoopid!!!

Just to let you know i would love to be able to go to the footy but because of our finances i have only been once in the last 8 months. The only luxury we have is sky because we dont go out and use this as our entertainment, ie footy films and childrens packages. i know a lot of people knock paying 40 odd pounds for this but at just over a pound a day it is quite good value when you dont go out or drink and smoke.

Been out today to do the banking for work and drove past Tescos - it's definately on our side!!! The Dunstablians can have the big Sainsburys instead though!

Am too depressed to write more - the Championship table looking the way it does!

Picking my slow cooker up tonight!

Great news, I thought you would get one there, as I said slowcookers and breadmakers are always coming on our freecycle....madness :D people just don't know what they are missing. I love my slowcooker it's just so easy to use, and the kids love the breadmaker because it makes pizza bases and cakes too. I find I'm using it more and more for that than making bread these days.

I keep telling my OH to get himself/us/the kids to football, but he keeps saying "no, we can't afford it, it's not fair to you", then I think, maybe, but think how much I spend on stuff I want - hairdo, nails, makeup etc etc - football doesn't add up to much, and if it's your OH's only luxury, I can't see it's too much of a problem. It's just about you and him having different prioriies and making different choices.

A marriage/partnership is a team, so it's not for one person to say "no, you can't", is it?
