ALL these years thinking Excel Parking were bluffing over threats of legal action, turns out we were wrong.
Many drivers felt safe to ignore £60 ‘fines’ for unpaid tickets believing they were disproportionate and legally unenforceable.
But the company says the real reason so few cases are pursued through the courts is down to a lack of manpower.
Not any more. The number is set to mushroom when the firm starts outsourcing legal work to solicitors around the country.
Technical director Martyn Attwood said: “We take as many cases as we are able to to court. Because of the volume there are delays getting them into the system. They are all across the country and we can’t be everywhere at once.”
Action Desk readers will know Excel usually follows a well-trodden trail of threatening letters – before giving up.
They include a Notice to Owner and Final Demand from Excel, a letter from Roxburghe debt collectors in Surrey and two from Graham White Solicitors: Notice of Intended Litigation and Final Warning.
Mr Attwood warned: “This attitude that if you ignore them they will go away is not the case. Tickets are issued for a reason.”

Well he is hardly going to say yes carry on ignoring them and they will go away!
He didn't mention Martin Cutts did he?0 -
Lets hope the lawyers they contact tell them the truth (that they are on very thin ground) and not just lip service to get the £'s rolling in.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

How many solicitors will want to be involved in his kind of business?
And we all know what will still happen, if and when the first new case gets to court. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I can imagine they will be using some grubby outfits!

There's a bloke in Morden that handled my ex-wife's divorce - he'd sue his own mother if there was a cheque in it for him. I can pass his details to Simon if he struggles to get enough people together to lose in court, sorry, I meant enforce these prefectly valid penalties, sorry, legitimate charges.Je Suis Cecil.0

michael cutts and victoria hetherington-jakeman to mention but two,,,wouldnt it be great if one of the firms they hire, actually take excell to court because they have not increased in height the wording on their sign at the peel centre in stockport as ordered by the judge? not going to lose any sleep over this, as excell are scum, end of.0

We do need to be very careful that Excel don't either try to claim, or actually manage to get, any default judgements.
So, unscrupulous solicitors will be taking money from Excel to bring unwinnable cases to court. Who's scamming who?
Does anyone know who Naveed Akbar's working for now?The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

How do we know this is a pack of lies? It is glaringly obvious. Even with trying to inflate their claim, any solicitor will want more for his work than Excel can claim off their victim. And that is on the assumption they win, which, short of a change in the law, they won't.
Parking Eye's solicitors cost £1,100 EACH.
Now in a small claim, are solicitors' costs allowable?
They are not.
So see this nonsense for what is is. Pure propaganda.
Yes, Peter at UKCPS brings some claims, but at least he screws them up personally as he knows it would be a loser to use a solicitor.0 -
