Bit confused re: lost package

Bought a ps3 game off a power seller 2 and a bit weeks ago, haven't got it, so messaged them and got no reply despite them leaving feedback for others and waited a few days - so opened a paypal dispute, then surprise surprise get a reply. Got the usual 15 working days balls blah blah - which it has now past, they have emailed me asking me to fill in and sign a form to say its lost...what the hell?? I dont really see why I need to do this??

Cos that way they get it refunded by RM. If they have taken so long to refund you, I'd make them wait for the form too

I have been refunded from RM without the need of MY customers sig before though?

Sometimes RM will send a form to the party who says the goods haven't arrived. You have to sign to confirm that it hasn't arrived in order for the sender to get a refund.
I've seen companies sending out forms to confirm that you haven't received an item, never seen an ebayer do it though.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

I don't have a fax so they expect me to print it and post it? Before I get my refund (so another 2-3 days wait)

Is the form they want you to sign a RM one, or one they've made up?
Can you escalate to a full claim now through Paypal for a refund, I'd be doing that & blow the form.0 -
I'd be ignoring the form and escalating or phoning paypal explaining what has happened.
I would NOT fill out the form at least until I had my refund, and once I had my refund I would also neg for making me open a claim in the first place.
Terrible way to run a business but having read some of the threads on the powerseller board last night there is a new breed of mega sellers who seem to have some odd ideas and truly believe every buyer to be a scammer. Right, apologies, I thought you meant the RM one that sometimes come through after a sender has a claim that the recipient hasn't received it.
Companies like Very, M&M Sports send you a form out before they will issue a refund. I haven't seen it from any ebayer though. Were they using a courier? Both the companies I mentioned were using couriers when stuff went missing, am wondering if it's something the couriers expect.
No that can't be it either, as you said RM. Anyhoo, I would escalate to claim now. And talking of M&M I've just remembered I was expecting a parcel from them..... Wonder where the courier's put it....4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
