  • They often have deals on sites such as groupon. My lot are quite ..er... "odd2 (like me!) so I reckon it will go down much better than a night on the town. I figured if we head back to mine afterwards to takeout and wine then I don't have to worry too much about dietary requirements etc the same way we would with a restaurant as we can order whatever we like even if it's from 3-4 different places.
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?

I have decided to go a little bit bridezilla ha ha ha, I sent her a message today saying all my good friends said do what you want and we will join you at the after party and she was clearly not a true friend to act like this.

Ive started looking at my guests like the are ££££££££ as in would I pay £200 for you to eat a meal in the same restaurant as me even if we are not at the same table, its become easier to cut people lol.

So whens the best time to start buying all the small trimmings?
and what about invites is it about 6 months before they go out?

Lol at least you were honest with her tho! I've done the same but oh keeps wanting to add extra ppl luckily our venue only charges 20 per head so not too bad. I've been buying all the little bits since November lol and still got more to get and I'm sending out our invites in September with an RSVP deadline of 1st December so we can have final numbers and payments sorted well in advance of our own deadline plus a little time to chase ppl if needed xxx

Oooh I've done 2.8 Hours Later! I enjoyed it, but it scared me too much to do it again :rotfl: I'd definitely suggest doing it a fair bit in advance of the wedding, as if you're the slightest bit unfit like me the running may do you in for a while!
  • Hi Fuzzy - Thanks for the feedback on the 2.8 hours. I was thinking a good month or so before the wedding for it to be honest in case any of us does ourselves a mischief. I'm not too bad fitness wise now as I have been trying to get in better shape for a while (which turned into shedding for the wedding when he proposed!) Might have to carry some of my lot around though!

  • Hey all,

We got engaged in April this year and are hoping to get married next year. We have just started looking for venues. A couple who we have contacted seem to have the date we are looking for just need to get out and look and decide what we want.

Want to do it all in one place and have somewhere for guests to stay as family spread out over the country so looking at hotels and have had a couple of OMG moments when looking at prices!

Once we have venue sorted then all the other stuff will be ok :-)
