My mum had a refund back for an App she mistakenly bought, but it was a genuine error, and she immediately bought the right app (difference between HD for ipad and non-HD for iphone) so that probably worked in her favour.

I had brought a game on iPad and it refused to work properly. Only cost £2.99 but that's not the point. I did report it as did many others judging by the reviews but no one got a refund as far as I know. Apple didn't get back to me either. I had heard it's buyer beware on iTunes app store. Some of these games, some aimed at children, often make it so you have to buy in app coins to get the best upgrades, animals etc.
