Stuff it, you have to cook it to a high heat to get the skin cripsy anyway. Just cook it and eat it.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Hi All,
Quick question about some chicken mini fillets I have left over.
Found them in the back of the fridge this morning, they went out of date yesterday. They still smell fine and iv cooked it a day over before.
My question is if I cook it tonight can I leave it until tomorrow? Theres loads of it, so ill make it tonight but eat the rest tomorrow.
Is that ok or pushing it too far?

I would.
As long as it is cooked today, I would have thought it would still last 3 days in the fridge, but I try to eat things in 2 days where poss. Or you could freeze once cooked0 -

I wouldn't but then I am very very careful when it comes to chicken as my oh once had salmonella for a good couple of weeks and it was caused by chicken (not caused by me I might at but a famous fast-food chain). It was horrendous so has probably made me over cautious! However I guess if you have done it before and there is no smell, it shoud be fine."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Smith:cool:0

So long as they smell OK, you should be fine. I've gone much more than 24 hours over the "use by date" and no-one's been ill0

Curry has been on for about 1.5 hours now on 150 degress. Sealed the chicken chucked in the le creuset, its going to cook for another hour. Taking no chances and it should be 1 beautiful mush by the end! haha
