I just want to say that I do feel sorry for you.

I am so glad she dropped the charges - seems like she does have some sense....

Regarding your children situation - I can't offer any legal advice as I am not a lawyer.

However, in my opinion, the law always favours the mother when it comes to Children. All you can do is speak to your solicitor and take their advice about access etc. But I would try and ensure that you contact the children directly and ensure they know that you are still there dad and will always love them and will always be there for them. You need to make sure that the know that no matter what you are always there when they need you. Maybe the only way to do that is through a letter to them both - but you need to ensure that they are aware of the fact that these issues have nothing to do with them.

The thing is - if this was the other way round and it was the man taking the kids there would be a public outcry. It stinks that when its the other way round that no one batters an eyelid - even when the person taking the kids has been proven to have worked as an escort.

All I can say is don't react with emotion to anything. Take in the facts, record them and liaise with your solicitor as much as required.

Regarding money - as hard as it seems, ignore the overall level of debt for now. Concentrate on the monthly payments. I would advise speaking to your creditors (mortgage company etc), and try and get them to reduce your monthly payments as much as possible. At the end of the day, they would rather receive something than nothing - and that is how it is heading. That should free up some cash for your legal bills. You can't avoid paying the legal bill - perhaps agree an installment plan or something with your solicitors, so at least you can relax about your money worries and concentrate on what is important to you - your kids.

Good luck for the future, I hope it all works out.
