Ha! I wasn't aware you had 3 children too, I was referring to myself, hope I didn't offend? ;) That's probably what i'd say though, perfectly serviceable still, if a bit well worn!

Im 29 and usually regular as clockwork once a month "Hollywood" wax at my local salon and have done for many years...however not had one in about 4 months as the previous one left me so swollen, bruised and skin cracked red and painful I've been too scared! This is purely down to how your skin "down there" becomes more sensitive during pregnancy and I plan to be nice and tidy again before I'm due to give birth in just over 3 weeks!

I'm generally not a very hairy person so a trim and tidy does me!

However no matter how much I prep skin, etc. I get ingrowing hairs and over the last 2 years have become a much bigger problem (I'm late 40s) so that I have some purple bumps that I can't get rid of.

I have on a few occasions gone for the full monty but find it very itchy when it grows back.

Girl, you don't know what you're missing! Once you've had the guts to wax it, you don't want to go back.

Way back, when wheels were square - well actually when I had my babies (no 1 now being 44:eek:) the first action taken by the midwife when one went into labour was to whip out the old razor!!

It was actually 1st time OH had seen a disposable razor, in the maternity kit!!!

I've never understood why they did this, I can't think of a practical reason why it would have been necessary (but then I do know beggar all about giving birth :)) I watched 'Call the Midwife' recently and they mentioned this - surely women have got other things to be worrying about at that point than a clean-shaven haven?
