Hi,
I have a Pentax I-10 digi camera, takes great pics and vids, but when i take sd card from camera and put into laptop the vid runs but staggers (not smooth)

Lappie is Advent 6311,

Any ideas?

    Try running it from your hard drive see if it makes a difference

    Hmmm out of my depth then but what are you using to view it, software wise and hardware wise, and is it HD too. Some wise youngster may come up with answers I can't

    Edited: I see it's an Advent 6311 but what about the graphics card and Ram and the O/S

    You could try VLC from videolan.org too

    You're pushing your laptop a bit further than it wants to go. You need a very efficient media player - definitely not Windows Media Player or VLC. I'd suggest trying Mirillis Splash Lite. If that doesn't work, try Daum Pot Player or Windows Media Player Classic Home Cinema. These are the 3 least resource-hungry media players I know.

    If none of those work then you're just not going to be able to play 720p on your laptop. You could try setting your Pentax down to 640x480 video mode - or getting a new lappie.

    either VLC or Media Player Classic...between them will play 99.x% of formats :)
