Has anyone tried hypnosis?

Had hubby hypnotised to quit smoking. He only had one session and funnily enough the first thing he did was buy cigars!! Was very miffed and launched the pack at his head. After that blip straight after the session it seemed to kick in and hes not had any in 3 years

My mom and stepdad had hypnotherapy for smoking about 3 years ago – my stepdad hasn’t touched one since but my mom has turned into a secret smoker!

My mom said that while she felt relaxed, she didn’t actually get into the hypnosis state – she was still fully aware of what he was saying, and all the time thinking ‘is the hour nearly up so I can go for a fag?!’
