Or have a go at altering a few pairs yourself? See if it makes any difference? Perhaps you could sew a ribbon over the elastic part?

Can you use boys plain white pants and maybe sew some girly things on, or use some fabric pens/paints with her so they are pretty? Sounds like the elastic touching the skin is the problem.

Our washing powder and fabric softener is always thae same so im sure its not that.

I have dodgy skin and cannot use washing powder or bio laundry products. I don't usually get a reaction all over, it's just on waistbands. I don't know why. Maybe the fact that this area is tighter makes it worse. It might be worth using a non-bio/sensitive liquid and see what happens.

Where are the labels? Is the label irritating her?

I found some m and s pants for my DD who was getting sore from the elastic. They have cotton binding at the waist and legs, so no elastic touches the skin. they are not those seamless ones you have posted though. H and m sometimes do knickers with cotton binding around the edges. So do boden. Hope you can find something that suits her.

I always use non-bio washing detergent for my family, as we have sensitive skin. When I've used bio, has caused allergic reactions after a while. Perhaps that, combined with chafing off elastic could be causing your little ones problem.

I've found non-bio suitable for my needs, although use washing soda crystals in my wash regularly for stain removal, which has always been kind to skin.

Lots of excellent suggestions. I'd just like to add that sometimes you can develop an allergy after using something without a problem before. So you could also try changing the washing powder.

I wonder if the washing powder doesn't quite get washed out completely along the elastic. Little bits caught up in the tiny creases of elastic?

Hope you get it sorted, it must be quite distressing for you both.

It sounds similar to my daughter. She's not allergic to the elastic, but it makes her sweat which combined with the slight rubbing you get on a waistband when you move irritates her skin badly.

Seamless or cotton bound pants help her. I also buy her vests from GAP because their sizes come up really skinny widthwise - so I can by her a bigger size of vest and it's long enough to tuck in for her, but isn't massive on her widthwise.
