New pregnancy concern

I had a small bleed at around the same time. I was told it was 'implant' bleeding, when the baby is bedding down into your uterus.
That baby is now 26, and a mum herself.
Easier said than done I know, but try not to worry.:hello:  please play nicely children !0 -

Likewise for me, bleeding at 8 weeks in my second pregnancy signified the start of a miscarriage.
Try to relax as best as you can until you have the scan. At this early stage, the scan might not be totally conclusive and you might need to go back in a week or so.
Fingers crossed for you. xx0 -
I had some bleeding in the early stages of my pregnancy too, but I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and haven't had any more problems.....hope all goes okay for you."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I started bleeding at 6 weeks with my little girl, and I was sooooooo scared, but her big brother thought that he had jumped on me so 'babble' was going to be hurt.
I had to have an internal scan and when they showed that little heartbeat I cheekily asked for a pic, so I could show DS and the doc gladly gave me the pic (well 2 actually) and DS said that the babble looked like a piece of rice!!!
Well, that little grain of rice is going to be 3 tomorrow !!!!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!
I do hope that everything works out well, and am sending !!!!!!!!!!{HUGS}}}}}}Proud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -

Thank you all for the time and trouble you have taken to reply-it is most appreciated.
Thankfully the bleeding is not continuous, so I hope this is a good sign. Hopefully the scan will tell us more tomorrow. Obviously miscarriage has been mentioned to us.
This is my second pregnancy but it all feels so different from the first. Whereas I knew I was pregnant before I did a test with my first, this time I won't believe it until I see a baby on the scan-obviously not having any signs of pregnancy like the first worries me too.
J xIt's great in here!

Any 'implantation' bleed would occur earlier than 8 weeks - it would occur at the time of the implantation (hence the term), which is certainly before 8 weeks. Any bleeding in pregnancy is abnormal and should be investigated. That isn't to say that the outcome will always be negative, as has already been illustaed in this thread already. Lots of rest for the OP me thinks, and I hope all is well at the USS tomorrow.had a small bleed at around the same time. I too had a bout of bleeding over two weeks at around 8 weeks, it is very worrying (even when it was for my 3rd boy) but it turned out to be placenta praevia (where the placenta covers the exit route!!), I had this with my 3rd and 4th but no bleeding with the 4th, which goes to show every pregnancy is different.
I hope all goes well for you tomorrow. Please let us know how you get on.

I bled throughout first pregnancy from week 8 to delivery, sometimes heavily. It was thought to be a low implant, but they weren't really sure, this was nearly 20 years ago. Anyway, everything was fine and baby was healthy. A close cervix is a good sign.
Good luck.0
