MSE TicketySplit app discussion

Just tried the app on SAL to PLY on a weekend.
Says no spilt available (standard rate £54.50), however when playing around with a spilt at Axminster/Honiton, I can get it down to £25.10 (excluding Network Card discount) + £9.80
Any advances on £26.05 for this journey from Salisbury to Plymouth on a weekend.
I can't make sense of your fares - but a possibility is a through advance ticket Salisbury to Plymouth at £24 next weekend, maybe £17.50 a bit further in advance0 -
Fares from National Rail Enquires website.
£16.55 (Salisbury to Axminster with network railcard), £9.80 for Axminster to Plymouth, so £26.05 for a return ticket.0 -
You want a DAY return - I was looking at singles and going one day coming back the next.
Anyway - £10 day return SWT winter saver offer Salisbury to Axminster or Honiton
http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/wintersmilestickets.aspx
Then the £9.80 off peak day return to Plymouth
So £19.800 -
I was looking for when the Winter Sale offer had ended (although I couldn't buy a winter sale ticket to Honiton tickets from the self-serve machines, gets as far as Axminster with the "SW route only" selection)
(The plan is to get down to Plymouth to purchase a 'ride cornwall' ranger ticket and spend a good few hours roaming around Cornwall before heading back, most likely in April/May time when the days are longer, if that makes any sense)0 -
Gotcha now
SWT did have a very similar offer last August - if you can hang on until then and they repeat it it's an option0
