One good example is meterfit north (enterprise), they fit meters and dont even know it and flows...ummmm where they gone.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Another thing I object to is that ever since smart meters started getting fitted in large numbers by Brit Gas, they seem to have vastly increased the speed they are exchanging the imperials to metric G4 s.I reckon they are deliberately rushing as many through as poss, only to see all these new metrics exchanged once again within a year for a smart meter, causing lots more grief for the householder wasting yet another of their days for someone not to turn up

I think smart meters will be good for the supplier mostly, not as high stealing, not as much need for debt warrants, easy to switch from credit to pre-pay so less meter work

  • yeah you re right chanz4, they ve got too many positives, even though they are doing me out of a job,An end to meter read mess ups and bypassing, cheaper ( no meter reading fees ) ,accurate cash monitoring and energy useage for the user,Goodbye to estimates etc,

Hopefully then, when its rolled out, it will work better than I've seen from some trials. Estimation still occurred and all the problems with data flows were still there, with some all new ones!

I know its changed a lot now with BG going" in house" with meter exchanges but a lot of the time the fixers could let people know by phone that they can t make it, a simple thing. I am surprised that any of the utilitys allow the contractors around the country to use their name in the initial bookings for a meter exchanges. There really is a huge number of people who wait in all day for nothing, even their initial booking used to say we will arrive " between 8 am and 8pm " how cheeky is that !

We used to book in well over 200% of our daily capacity. near the end when we stopped working for BG we were well over 400%.

BG also contracts out its metering work doesnt it? further i wouldnt say that others "rely" on the likes of..>>etc. They do in fact have contractual agreements with them.

I would say to the OP,write a letter of compliant to your gas supplier i.e E-on. (?)..Make sure you head your letter with the word COMPLAINT otherwise it isnt actually a complaint. It is simply correspondence. Claim your compo. Hopefully get them to agree a timeslotted time to suit you i.e weekend. If not, simply go out to work as normal and let them miss a few appointments and see how they like it.

BG alot of it is now by their own enginers in BGSM.

Still seem to use PH Jones and G4S though.

Believe that PH Jones lost the contract though..

Theirs one issue. the supplier cannot see 90% of the data on the smart meter. Remember everything goes from the DC to the Supplier, so its up to the DC to be able to notice things, unfortunately the level of access for the DC is pretty low.. And in my experience some of the DC really don't care about any issues.

Also they are sending false tamper alerts at the moment also, software can be tampered too. I do think they are a long way off though, sap that most suppliers have at the moment isnt fully working with them either

SAP DTS for instance Chanz. IPR is owned so no changes and its got some very basic flaws which cause data to be completely missing with no way to know whether it is or not. Poor build.
