    I didn't have a telly when I was little :(

I remember some things from when I was on holiday/at somebody else's house and could watch TV! But some of the programmes you've mentioned I remember because they were published as comic strips in Pippin comic, which I used to get every Saturday, or Buttons comic, which my sister used to get. Most of the things in Pippin and Buttons were from TV shows but some were independent comic strips. Pippin went out of print about 1982, Buttons lasted a while longer.

The strips in Pippin and Buttons included Superted, Moschops, Bertha, Postman Pat, King Rollo, Fingermouse, Ivor the Engine, the Munch Bunch, Mary Mungo & Midge, the Flumps, Pippa's Playgroup, Mr Benn, Rubovia... that's all I can remember OTTOMH.

I have very clear memories of children's radio though (this being in the very late 70s and early 80s) - Listen with Mother lasted until I was about 3 (still remember the songs and regular stories though!), and was then replaced with Listening Corner which used to be on about 2pm after the lunchtime repeat of the Archers.

    Afternoon Guys!

Still struggling with my essay and just havent had the energy to actually complete it today, so will hope that tomorrow is a better day and can do then. Tutor emailed to say that he hasnt graded his other students yet but I should aim to get in by the next couple of days...so at latest, I have till Thursday:rolleyes:

Meeting with new cleaning company went very well indeed. She was an absolute delight and all cleaniing is enviromentally friendly...they basically use steam for most cleaning. I was very impressed and I need not sign any contract:j ...she is starting Thursday at 6.30pm as we are due out at the school. She reckons 2hrs would be sufficient and she went through everything in detail. This will be for 2 weeks, then it will go to a Thursday early morning which will be ideal as Im normally at the hospital then and she will come with another girl so they get through in an hour. The business was started 18 months ago and relies on word of mouth and adverts. I have asked for referances and she is sending them through later. She seems very competent, so will give her a twirl...she is expensive but if my house gets cleaned properly...I dont care:D

    Hugs to all.
