Bah, don't talk to me about Henry!!! We've one at work, we all find it a pig to change the bag, and it is useless at picking up anything larger than a crumb. After all, dried mud shouldn't be a problem.... should it? Henry just goes over it, and there it still is, crushed into smaller bits. When it is the correct size, up it finally goes. By which time, I'm FED UP!!!
Only thing I can say in it's favour, it has never broken down, and of course, it is better than using a brush!

why do a lot of people in the building trade use one ?
because they are tough , reliable and do a good job
the bag is a piece of cake to change , it is not after all rocket science ;)
  • Hi - I have reviewed many vacuums and the one that seems to stand out in terms of customer satisfaction is the Hoover UH30010COM. This vacuum cleaner gets excellent customer reviews pretty much everwhere on the net. I have found a detailed review at vacuum-cleaner-advisor.com if anyone is interested. There is also good information on this particular vacuum on Amazon.

I just received a new miele S7210 upright today, chosen as it was the top best buy upright on which? and other reviews were really good as well. I'm very disappointed as after about 5 minutes of vacuuming (good results as well, which is even more disappointing) a plastic sticky out bit at the back of it, behind the wheels got stuck in the carpet and I couldn't use it anymore as it keeps doing it! I can't believe this vacuum has such a terrible design flaw - and its pretty pricey as well. Needless to say I'm getting a refund!

    Hi,

Have you spoken to Miele about this problem? They have the best customer service in the industry by far. This must be a problem with your particular cleaner rather than a design fault on all of them. The only criticism I have heard about the Miele uprights is that they could be a bit heavy.

    Hi CK,

I wouldn't agree with that all the time, but better than most I'd agree.

It does however come at a price.

Hi CKdesigner - Am returning vacuum - would worry that it will happen again & maybe not be so easy to rectify. Have seen a few reviews (Which, review centre) advising about bad customer service from Miele, (could be exceptions of course)- although most say really good products.

It was a wee bit heavy, but more interested in good results on deep pile carpet, good quality, long lasting etc. so didn't mind. It's a pity - it seemed to vacuum really well. Oh well, live & learn, I guess!

    Hi guys,
its over two years since the OP asked the question.
I would hazard a guess that they have got their replacement vacuum cleaner by now.
