I am not selling tomorrow, just visiting.
Just hope the rain is not to heavy. I feel really sorry for the sellers. The pitches must have cost a bomb.

I've not been on the thread for 4 days - I can't believe how many posts there have been!

I am struggling with my OH hamper box. I am doing a USA themed hamper (as we are going there next year for 5 weeks!!!!!) - I have bought USA sweets, drinks, t-shirt and guide books so the contents are sorted BUT i need a box for a hamper present - normally i would wrap a cardboard box but I want to get a 'proper' box for this and for it to have a USA theme so he can then keep it and use it to store all the bits we pick up on our holiday of a lifetime next year(I cannot wait to go!) - it'll become a 'memory box' - we are big on those!

I just can't find any USA theme boxes - stars and stripes or NYC..... anyone seen anything on their travels????

its a shame this is so expensive http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/American-Flag-Wood-Leather-Storage-Box-Set-2-by-Benzara-/261119749489?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccbf32d71&_uhb=1

you could buy a plain keepsake box and cover it in an american flag? or maybe buy a couple of these and use it to over a plain box? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VERY-UNIQUE-CHIC-WASHED-LOOK-AMERICAN-FLAG-GIFT-BAG-GIFT-WRAPPING-BRAND-NEW-/181027348987?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_GiftWrapping_ET&hash=item2a261221fb&_uhb=1

and not sure if this is too small? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/American-Chopper-Motorcycle-Eagle-Tin-Oblong-Round-Metal-Storage-Gift-Box-Tins-/121015216148?pt=UK_Antiques_DecorativeAntiques_Collectables_EH&hash=item1c2d11a814&_uhb=1

I saw this and thought it was quite cool, but could be expensive? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/US-American-Style-Post-Box-MailBox-Silver-Aluminium-Wedding-Great-Condition-/181028674182?pt=UK_Home_HomeDecor_Accessories&hash=item2a26265a86&_uhb=1

Hope this gives you some ideas xx

Thank you I cant wait!! :D Lost count the amount of times Ive seen them now but their home coming christmas gig is something else altogether! (I literally live about 30 mins away from where they grew up) its a proper acoustic night, everything very mellow and christmassy - last time they had an orchestra!! Just a shame Ive to get up and go to work the next morning (christmas eve)

Hope you're ok - I was hit with a very weird flu like thing going on this week but never fully "broke out" just got ear ache left but because a guy at work left last week I cant really take time off when already short staffed always the way the one minute I might actually need off :rotfl:

I had tickets to see them earlier in the year in February, but my Grandad was taken ill and I had to go and see him and sell the tickets. He died a few days later so i'm glad I did that, but I would still like to see them at some point!

I'm ok, just felt a bit under the weather today, I hope it doesn't lead to anything! I hope the ear ache clears up soon, it's awful when you can't take time off and rest!

Everyone who's going to see/thinking about seeing Nativity 2, I can thoroughly recommend it. Me and mum were peeing ourselves laughing - it was fantastic. It's even better than the first IMO!

Do you think it's ok to watch this if I haven't seen Nativity? I'd really like to see Nativity but I probably won't get the chance before the second one goes out of the cinema.

I treated myself to Elf DVD today. Is that wrong? Wanted the nativity but couldn't find it locally and couldn't wait for amazon!

NO IT'S NOT WRONG! I love that film it's so funny!! Everyone should own a copy! :D Enjoy. :)

They're lovely! I haven't got the time to make any this year but they're definitely on my list for next year!

Ooooh how exciting! I've got my shopping trip booked to Harrods and Liberty on 10th Dec - I can't wait! I love wandering around Harrods Food Hall. :T I originally come from Gloucestershire, I don't live there now though so your post made me a bit homesick! Hope you have a lovely time visiting family. :)

Sorry! I was born in Gloucester, but moved to London in 1999. Spent all day at the racecourse in Cheltenham, as my cousin graduated today. Luckily it was lovely weather when we were there-started pouring down when we were in the pub, though!

Off to Home Bargains tomorrow. :j:j:j Can't wait. Got a list of things to buy. Hope to get to the new B&M in Gloucester before I come home too.

  • im not wanting to bring this thread down, but i feel i know you all (is that sad?) and i wanted to let you all know the reason for my absence and also to avoid any questions.

as many of you know i was due to have baby number 4 in march. unfortunatley our daughter was born on sunday and being 19weeks early she didnt make it.

my hubby mark and i are pretty cut up as you can imagine and trying our hardest to keep spirits high for the other 3.

i have no chance of catching up the thread now as ive been away too long so i imagine i will fleetingly pass through so im sorry if i ever miss anything important thats said.

once again, im sorry to bring the thread down.

I know it's been answered before but I still have fuzzy brain. I've just got some silicone moulds to make christmas choccy favours for DS1's friends to take away from his christmas party.
If I use normal white, dark, milk chocolate am I ok just to melt it and re-set it in the moulds?? Value is best isn't it IIRC?
    Thanks
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
