Well done gettingtherequickly - what a brilliant win!

I think what I have is definitely flu as opposed to just a cold. It is not getting any better after five days. GAH.

ours is free for the table and we give 10% of what we make.

we are making cards, coaster calendars, flannel cupcakes, flannel swiss rolls, gift tags, decorated ES mints and anything else I can think of and make between now and the fair.

I have a few cello cones which i would like to use but not sure what to put in. I thought of snowman soup but not sure how much profit that would make as I haven't got time to shop around to get the best prices. I am off to home bargains to see if I can get some inspiration.

    What are you making?

I have been working on :

Cards / ES Tree decs / Snowman Soup / Mini stockings with sweets & candy canes / Keyrings / Snowman Dairy Milks / Reindeer Food /Snowman Poop / Reindeer Poop

To Do: Personal DS Pens, Magic Santa Keys

Didn't realise how much I had till I listed it :rotfl:

I think the hardest part is deciding on prices, you don't want to charge too much but you don't want to be out of pocket either.

Also got a huge pack of stickers and more gingerbread man cellophane bags for DS' roll in his packed lunch throughout December. :D

    What a lovely idea! :T:T:T

  • Princessx87 for the last few years I've bought my wrapping paper from poundland. They haven't got as big of variety this year but they still had some lovely stuff that was 3 x 3m for £1. They also had lovely kraft style paper with red reindeers on think it was 3m for £1. Wilkinsons have some lovely stuff and think it was 2 for £3. Tesco also have lovely stuff and in my local store they currently have a 3for2 on all wrap and accessories

I would like to talk about Christmas nights out, have you got your outfit? Did you splash or save? Where are you going?
We're going to the Marroitt again this year (Marroitt is code word for EXPENSIVE) I got my dress down to £14 from £18 because there's a tiny hole & make up on it. My gran bought me some lovely shoes, which are part of my Christmas. Im going to use a bag I got for a wedding, also still have false lashes i got for free in Boots beauty 3 for 2, SO just need some jewellery, put on my Palmers gradual tan and make up a hair do and I am all sorted. Also, I was in Asda a few weeks ago, my gift card wasnt working on the till and the young man serving me was extremely rude, making out that the card was a knock off and i was some kind of shop lifter!!! The manager came over to see what was happening, i told her what he said and the woman behind me backed me up. She apologised and said she would write a report and i should make a complaint. So I did and received a £20 @sda gift card (!) so im going to use that to purchase some vodka to sneak in :) im sorry but £8 for a single measure of vodka and mini can of coke is a JOKE!!! I spent £40 on soft drinks alone last year!!

I have a couple of christmas nights coming up, the first of which is next Friday! Just a bunch of us from school are going out for some drinks & dancing!
The following Friday after is our offical school staff party, where we are going to a Broadway themed night somewhere ha! Looking forward to it and as a thank you for our hard work the head has paid half the ticket price for everyone.
Also going to bfs works do in mid December, which is suits & cocktail dresses so Im off to get a new dress for that. I have plenty of veryyyy expensive shoes that I base my outfits on and then pick a dress to suit!
    Looking forward to them all!!
My Christmas has just been made. Local radio station has been running a competition every morning this week, could win £500 food shopping, £500 petrol and £1000 general shopping, I won all three!!!!!!!:j:j

    I am still shaking:o

Seriously MASSIVE congrats! Thats an amazing win! Hope you enjoy spending!

On a completely different subject, can you believe the bloody weather !!!
Of all the weekends to be horrendous, it had to pick my weekend away at a Christmas market. :(
On the positive side, it may be a little quieter than expected.:D

Dd not coming now. She is staying with her best friend and her family, and helping to put their tree up. No Primark, you see.:D

Ooh you will have a good time in Bury (we've got football tomorrow or I could have got the tram in and met you) We are built of sterner stuff up here you know a little drizzle and a bit of wind never keeps us indoors. Your DD could have jumped on the tram into Manchester and Primarni (ssshhhh you are child free)
You will easy have your wears ready. That's great news about the stall too. A change is as good as a rest they say. You will return all geared up and eager to go:) You don't need much sleep ha! But remember its supposed to be fun. You could maybe take samples and orders at the gift party and save your stash for the fair. X
