Everyone who's going to see/thinking about seeing Nativity 2, I can thoroughly recommend it. Me and mum were peeing ourselves laughing - it was fantastic. It's even better than the first IMO!Princess Sparklepants0

good job i got my christmas stuff out - Santa's Key has vanished - along with a stocking. and DS1's Santa outfit is tatty and dirty. GRRRR.
now am I going to find them hiding in a box as soon as I order new ones or have they vanished forever?loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I am doing my first one on the 6th December :T Like you I was nervous when I found out about it earlier this month but I am getting a bit excited now. I only hope I manage to sell stuff, cos it's £20 for the table and I need to at least cover that
What sort of things are you making?
ours is free for the table and we give 10% of what we make.
we are making cards, coaster calendars, flannel cupcakes, flannel swiss rolls, gift tags, decorated ES mints and anything else I can think of and make between now and the fair.
I have a few cello cones which i would like to use but not sure what to put in. I thought of snowman soup but not sure how much profit that would make as I haven't got time to shop around to get the best prices. I am off to home bargains to see if I can get some inspiration.
What are you making?
FF hope yours goes well toosaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Snugglebunny8-It was so annoying, pesky kids! DS hasn't mentioned it since, he has a very good imagination and very much believes in magic so hopefully he will still believe for a long time yet!PRINCESSX87 wrote: »Quick question,
Where has everyone brought their christmas wrap from this year? Been looking for some bargains - As i have rather alot to wrap and the only offers ive seen so far was M&S 3 for 2, But i think its was something like £4 a roll...
bunbun2-Such a shame you dont live near enough! I was so glad it was only 45 mins away as Dr Who things are normally so expensive and this is a nice Dr Who event that shouldnt cost too much to go to. Ill put some pics up for your DS!
Im not having a very good bargain hunting day, missed out on the 1p shoes and theres no bargain Skylander starter packs in any Morrisons or Currys/PC World within 20 miles of me or online! Ah well, still got some nice christmassy things in town. 99p store had some gorgeous , quite big heart shaped glass jars! I got one for my mums sweet shop hamper but they'd also be perfect for things like bath salts or even flavoured vodka! (theres a cork in the top) Also got DS' advent calendar in there, a Father Christmas kids cross stitch kit, mirrored santa claus stickers, a santa toilet seat cover (our toilet seat last year was too large for one to fit but we've got a new toilet now and its fits perfectly) and a new snowglobe that smashed on the way home. (dont know why I keep buying them as they always get smashed!)
In Poundland I got a spare copy of Littlest light on the christmas tree (ours is a bit scratched) and a lovely looking DVD called The Happy Elf. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Happy-Elf-DVD/dp/B000H5VEN0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353690646&sr=8-1 You can get it for just over £2 on amazon too from 3rd party sellers but £1 is a bargain! It has a lovely snowglobe effect cover. Also got a huge pack of stickers and more gingerbread man cellophane bags for DS' roll in his packed lunch throughout December.
Last but not least I got looooads of window stickers from all the pound shops, you wont forget its christmas in my house.
(well, flat lol)
I couldnt think what to get for one of the Postpals children Im buying for but Poundworld had Mickey Mouse bins (he likes Mickey!) and decided to do a Mickey Mouse theme hamper! So far I have the bin, a torch, canvas picture with crayons set and the tin bauble filled with a puzzle that I ordered from Disney Store the other day. Going to go to Home Bargains to see if they have any sweets to finish it off as they normally have cheap character stuff and also going to grab the Mickey kaleidoscope I saw today! :j'They only had one cow!'0 -

Hi still reading but after being out most of the week have quite a lot to catch up on:eek:
I have ordered Dr Who monopoly for the boys who are huge fans (if not obsessed in ds1's case:D). moneysavingmumofone I told ds1 about the dr who craft fair you are going to and he said "oh can we go?" we live in the North East:rotfl:
I have ordered ds' pyjamas from next and a t shirt for ds2 from boden, both using money off vouchers. I usually leave their pyjamas till the last minute and then cant get any in their sizes.
I am doing an advent box and day 24 I make up a mini Christmas eve hamper with pyjamas, dvd and chocolates. I am really struggling to think of a Christmas DVD to put in. The boys are 12 and 14 so I need something a bit more grown up. Can any of you lovely people who know everything about anything Christmassy suggest a DVD.
oooooh snap!:eek: my DS also 12 and have bought him pjs from Next and a t shirt from Boden! (the long sleeved one with the racing snails embroidered on) spooky!!
mine are 15 and 12, and they love Polar Express and Fred Claus, they also love Elf and find it hilarious (as does OH!) they also like The Holiday and Ive got Arthur Christmas for this year, they both enjoyed it at the cinema last year - hope that helps!
ps .. my DS also says that Die Hard is his favourite Christmas movie!well they do sing 'Let It Snow'!!

I got mine from Costco - same stuff I bought last year (still have some left but didn't want to run out!
It's gold with golden swirls and was about £8 for 36m. It's good quality though, and gridded inside for cutting straightAnd it will wrap all but the childrens presents.

PrincessX87 I got mine half price in the M&S sale the week before Christmas last year (they had it all half price on the website but delivery to store wasnt til January) I also got some half price in Tesco and Sains sales as well as cards. This year Ive bought the red Rudolph wrap from Tesco that was 99p (very bright and cheerful and Im a sucker for red wrap!) and the kraft paper/sleigh wrap from M&S as I couldnt resist! was on 3 for 2 with also a 20% off code some weeks ago
Next Boxing Day sale is good for wrap and cards too, in store and especially online if you get a VIP slot, can get it heavily reduced, hope that helps0
