I am doing a craft fair on the 1st December:eek: I only found out about it 2 weeks ago. My friend told me about it and at first I said no
as there wasn't enough time to make stuff however she has managed to persuade me. I have never done a craft fair before so am extremely nervous

I am doing my first one on the 6th December :T Like you I was nervous when I found out about it earlier this month but I am getting a bit excited now. I only hope I manage to sell stuff, cos it's £20 for the table and I need to at least cover that :o

What sort of things are you making?

I am excited, but a little nervous too - I haven't even made any stock yet and it's on the 15th December!!

Yay well done on the tickets that sounds fab! I love Snow Patrol.

I'm not feeling great today so i'm working from home, and i've got The Holiday on in the background. :D

Thank you I cant wait!! :D Lost count the amount of times Ive seen them now but their home coming christmas gig is something else altogether! (I literally live about 30 mins away from where they grew up) its a proper acoustic night, everything very mellow and christmassy - last time they had an orchestra!! Just a shame Ive to get up and go to work the next morning (christmas eve)

Hope you're ok - I was hit with a very weird flu like thing going on this week but never fully "broke out" just got ear ache left but because a guy at work left last week I cant really take time off when already short staffed always the way the one minute I might actually need off :rotfl:
Life is what you make it.
  • I finally found the Santa and Father Christmas bin bags in my local Poundland. I picked up a packet of the Santa ones, as I think they look great and we can use them as present sacks for Christmas morning. :)

Not really done anything Christmassy. We have had the auditor in today at work [still not really sure what he was doing, but all the managers were in a flap about it], so nice Christmassy things were not on anyone's mind. Although, I did overhear him talking about Christmas decorations and how he thinks the stores should have more up. If we are not getting any more then our store really isn't dressed up for Christmas. Not even remotely lol. :o
  • My DS has been laughing at me because I tested my jelly tot vodka then promptly fell over the hoover but you'll be glad to know, I never spilt a drop! Thinking need to make another batch though :D
  • My Christmas has just been made. Local radio station has been running a competition every morning this week, could win £500 food shopping, £500 petrol and £1000 general shopping, I won all three!!!!!!!:j:j

    I am still shaking:o

    Wow congratulations that brilliant! :)

  • Quick question,

Where has everyone brought their christmas wrap from this year? Been looking for some bargains - As i have rather alot to wrap and the only offers ive seen so far was M&S 3 for 2, But i think its was something like £4 a roll...

Wilkinsons for me. £2 a roll or 2 for £3. 12mx70cm so plenty and not too thin either.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Thank you all so much for the congrats, stopped shaking now :) As I won't get the money for a couple of weeks apparently, here's a very MSE drink on me :D:beer::beer:

The paper in M&S is lovely but it worked out far too expensive for me. It was 77p per metre [using the 3 for 2 offer]... :o

I have bought some paper from Ikea which is similar to the M&S kraft paper for 39p per metre [at the standard price of £1.95 for a 5 metre roll]. :) I've got another roll of 3 metre paper which is very similar to the M&S kraft paper [with red metalic reindeer] for £1 - 33p a metre. Tesco also have some great 4 metre rolls at £1.46 - good quality and great designs; the roll I bought came to 36p per metre. :)

Asda had lots of offers on wrapping paper too. They had colourful 10m rolls for £1 [obviously making it 10p per metre] and they have 15m for £5 [three rolls - multibuy] making it 33p per metre. I even spotted some reasonably nice smart price paper there which was 27p for around 3 metres. :)

Hope that helps a little. :)
