Going to put it in the Xmas Eve hamper!
Ds asked me on the way home if Santa was real! He said all 4 of the other children on his table said he wasnt and its your mum and dad who do it! I felt so sad as they are only 7 and thought Id have at least until next year before kids in his class started saying that! I mustered up as much bewilderment as possible and said why would it be parents when they give their children presents already? (I know some people do all from Santa but we do stocking and 1 present from Santa and rest under tree from us) I couldnt say well they wont get presents if they dont believe as if they all tell each other what they got in January it will be obvious they did get presents lol. DS said he told them he must be real because of santas reindeer being on reindeercam.com (THANKYOU THANKYOU to whoever posted that!!) and I said (relieved!) Exactly i couldnt have set up a website with reindeer could I! I was desperately clutching at straws lol but DS seemed to forget about it quickly so phew! Extra helpings of christmas magic this year I think!
oh no!!!! couldnt you just strangle them?? it may be they have older siblings who have let slip or something, but either way you would hope they would keep quiet for other kids sakes, neither of mine asked until 9/10, DD said she twigged by 10, its a horrible feeling isnt it? but you said all the right things (I just said 'well if you dont beleive ...' and there was a long thoughful silence in the back of the car!) Its so sad when you think the magic is fading, but it sounds as though he didnt beleive them, so you should be ok!0 -

This year mine have the Disney Advent Box which I put something little in for each when they get back form school, they have a Thorntons one in the morning each and Ive got the Silent Night traditional picture one for all of us
not got any nights out this year, hubbys work do is no partners and ours seems to have just not been mentioned, I asked my boss via email and she said somebody else would deal with it but heard nothing, so guess thats not happening this year!
we have one meal out with friends at the moment, two to organise, and two sundays meeting up with family so far, plus all the kids concerts, Christmas Fairs etc and a few friends to drop in with and hopefully couple of friends lunches
no new clothes this year, will wear what ive already got and have nice boots bought previously, DD had new clothes when we were in America in the summer and DD and OH have stuff from last year
In S'bury this morning they had packs of chocolate mini Pretzels for 1.49, I got some for antlers for my Reindeer Cupcakes, also got the white icing in a tube with different nozzles, to go with the chocolate one I already got to do reindeer eyes and mouths, and big tube of Smarties for their noses, will do half chocolate and half plain, going to have a go next week
got a few bits on offer for my January and Christmas store cupboards, Fairy 2 for £2 (this big bottles) Sensations 99p for the really big bags, they have the Crunchie and Caramel 4 packs for £1 so got some for sleighs0 -
You can make milk chocolate truffles, there is no reason however, people are more use to dark chocolate truffle.Quick question - probably a silly one but anyway - Truffles, is there a reason we dont use milk chocolate (does it not set as well or something?) Im looking to make these as a gift for parents hamper but mum isnt so keen on dark chocolate so if I can get away with using milk it would be better, if not she has no choice but to enjoy it anyway lolBusy Making Xmas Cupcakes!0
