    Hi All
Big hugs to all those having a hard time at the moment.
Big well-done to all the christmassy makes.
Big "jelous" eyes to those who are going to see nativity 2, thing were going to have to wait till middle of december!

On a possitive note, I am an extremely proud mummy, 5yo dd has been chosen to play Mary in the school nativity!!! She has quite a few lines to learn, but she's a natural at that kind of stuff & i just know she will be fantastic (maybe im a little biassed!). So if anyone spots a decent Mary costume on their travels, pls let me know. I would like to spend less than £10 as im not sure how much wear she will get from it!

    would this be any good?

    Hi all you Christmassy people!

Today my grandparents are taking me (or I'm taking them, depending on which way you look at it!) to LIDL after work. I have to admit, I usually hate LIDL, but I am willing to give it a go...

So what is Christmassy in there at the moment to look out for, please? :)

    Thanks!

Cellophane! That is what I went in for the other day and I held firm and passed all the lovely offerings up.

If you have a sweet tooth, I can highly recommend the Christmas chocolate covered gingerbread hearts. I used to live with my Nan (who is German) and I have such fond memories of this treat - The Chocolate reigndeers are also a must and less then half the price of the Lindt ones (and even tastier IMO)

Lots of gift wrap and ribbons too - I am sure you will come out with arm-fulls ;)

Right, today is the day to get organised - The Christmas card list WILL be completed and I will figure out who needs a gift, who is getting what, what I need to make and when I need to make it! Go Team!

Well, there is the bargainous christmas cellophane, 3 types, red snowflake, gold snowflake and clear at 99p each and there are some fab ribbons (can't remember how much but I got a lovely black & silver one with beads on it). They also had some great cheap christmas cards for the kids to take to school. You may also be able to get the christmas shaped pasta and the cheap choccie. Will that do for starters? :D

    EDIT: OOps, two replies!
I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful

Ideally, I wanted some kind of home-made face mask - does anyone know of a recipe that has some kind of shelf life to it? The internet is full of lots, but I am struggling to find one that states it keeps iykwim

Thanking you lovelies in advance :)

Do you have any samples at home ?
If you do make her a Pamper Jar.

Take a largish jar and fill it with pamper bits.

A pair of Fluffy socks £1

Make a rice bag in the shape of glasses. It is easier than it sounds.
Sew two bits of material together, turn the right way, fill with rice and stitch up hole. This can be put in the fridge for cold or in micro for warm. (Free)

    Bar of chocolate £1

    Candle £1

    Face mask £1

    Room spray £1

If you haven't got a jar just wrap it in cellophane.
Head on over to the freebie board perfume samples seem to come up often :D

Thank you both for these ideas, this is really helpful! For some reason my mind drew a blank but with these ideas I should be able to put together a decent pack! :T

Just wanted to let you all know that I had a pm from will-be-debt-free this evening, and her dd is quite poorly and in hospital.
They all had a bug last week and her dd has not coped well with it.

I have sent her all our love and best wishes, in hoping her dd makes a full and speedy recovery.x

Thanks for this OMO, sending her all of my very best wishes.

And sending lots of hugs and strength to everyone else who is having a hard time at the moment, and I hope we can continue to support each other through it, I didn't realise cyber friends could make so much difference! xx

Feistyfidget The only thing I can think of is you give them grinded oats and almonds in a pot/jar, with instructions for making the mask.
Add milk to form paste for dry skin. Add witch hazel to form paste for oily skin.
Leave on for 20 mins then rinse.

I have just found these printable Disney boxes and am in love.:D

Can you be in love with a box template ? :o

I am not that worried as I expect you will all fall in love with them as well :rotfl:

  • OMO - Beautiful! I only have an inkjet and it is a bit pants at printing :( If we weren't saving for a house deposit I would have treated myself to a budget colour laserjet!

For all of those stuck for a very cheap gift to give to someone girly, Superdrug have Gosh winter berry me reduced to 49p!
    http://www.superdrug.com/nails/gosh-nail-lacquer-berry-me/invt/279512/&bklist=

As if that wasnt cheap enough, it's also 3 for 2 and free delivery!

Have just 12 bottles, will go to 99p store for emery boards and run up some snowflake nail decals from vinyl with my Silhouette cameo cutter.

12 nail gift sets in beautiful hand-made boxes are going to cost me 65p each!!!!!!
