A picture of this evenings makes.

Not finished as I need to get the sweets to put in them before I can close them.
They are simply a tube that is closed in different directions at either end.

WOW, you are so talented!! Your makes are all amazing. How do you close the tubes? Im thinking that these would be ideal for holding costume jewellery ect for teachers gifts.

Double sided tape (99p in The Works)

    Cut a square of card 15cm x 15cm.

Put double sided tape on 3 edges.

Roll the card slightly, this makes it easier. (before taking the cover off the tape)

    Take cover off tape.

Role into a tube, from the edge with no tape.

Stick the bottom of the tube together flat.

    Fill with your contents.

Stick the top of the tube in the other direction to the bottom.

    Decorate.

EDIT - I put 2 strips down each side as it is thin.

People can be so unkind and rude can't they. And to three of our kindest, gentlest posters :( pinknfluffy, Snugglebunny and moneysavingmumofone I'm hoping these incidents won't be rocking your Christmas spirits :)

Sorry Kinky Linky I've been AWOL ! Been popping in and reading but been a bit fed up and had nothing interesting to say so didn't post! I'm really loving your lastest makes love the colour scheme looks so luxurious:) It's not like you to be growling! Hoping calm has now been restored. (Seriously think you are working yourself tooooo hard at the mo and fitting in the paid stuff) A good nights sleep is prescribed for tonight!
Welcome to our newbies come on in the kettles on, mince pie anyone:)
Noodles congratulations on the birth of your princess. Mali such a beautiful name, hugs to you both:)
Love the wrapping a few pages back very classy (can't remember who-sorry) but it is gorgeous.
Pinknfluffy congrats on the new job. Well done you with hours to suit too.
Saw the coke ad and was a touch disappointed too! But popped the tour dates in my phone calendar hoping to take DGD - they are afternoon slots, was hoping it would be dark to see the lights! Do I sound spoilt?
Caitlyn such lovely Christmas memories I hope my children look back as fondly. That's more than I could hope for:)
    The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

Last year the truck here stayed parked until about 8 in the evening. I would ring the owner of the car park they are using and ask. Ours is in a Tescos.

We are not going until after 6 when I finish work.

I saw the coke ad - but its same as last year :(
Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:
  • Just watched the john lewis ad on youtube. I had a little tear in my eye. Missed the coke ad so caught up with that to.

Got to take dd to her first rememberance parade as a brownie this morning. Expect i'll have a tear in my eye for that to. Today will take the time to think of those lost and still serving our country. Then will get back to Christmas later!

Any one any ideas how to make a boring classroom look like a fabulous Santas Grotto with hardly any money! Have been on freecycle sights to see if anyone got any decs they don't want.
Im on our school pta a seem to have taken on organising the xmas bazaar. Got plenty of outside stalls coming. Now need to sort out some money earners for the school. Gonna make up some candy cones and some snowman soups to sell want something else simple. Not reindeer food as i'll have that on my own stall!

Hubby working tomorrow night so gonna test Iceland mince pies and mulled wine whilst starting christmas cards.

  • Forgot to ask - as part of the "sweet dreams" pack - a suggestion is to write down your worries/what you new to do tomorrow list so you can sleep knowing you won't forget them. I was thinking a journal would be ideal for this (like a secret diary but suitable for adult it doesn't need to lock)... I can't find anything suitable - needs a day a page really and small enough to keep by bed? Stumped :( happy to decorate in photos etc
