OMO Kinky Linky you have done so well. Popped in earlier and thought you must still be hard at it! As others have said you are going to have no trouble selling all your wonderful wears:)

Pinkandfluffy I reall do feel for you. I can only assume that you were wasted there and something much more suited to your talents will be along shortly:) I was in comet today trying to redeem a voucher with an elderly friend of mine! Unsuccessful. But was chatting to the lovely girl on customer services who's husband also works for comet who was worried about loosing her house etc:(
Mschatabox Arrghh not a good advert at all. I agree I would take my custom elsewhere too.
Snugglebunny pick up that Christmas spirt at once. You are always so positive please don't let them grind you down. Remember what goes around comes around!
    The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
    All year through

  • Is this cheating? :o

I'm involved in a secret Santa and the spending limit is a strict £5, I wanted to make a Christmas stocking to put the gifts in, now I already have loads of Christmas fabric so I'm planning on using that but a friend says that's cheating and I should factor in the cost of the fabric!! If I factor in the fabric there won't be much of a gift left!!

    Opinions please Christmas people...........

I wouldn't say it was cheating, but I wouldn't do it.

When adding up any of my gifts, I always add up what it should have cost me .Not what it actually did.

Also, if you make the sack, it may give you away as the buyer of the other gifts. Not very Secret Santa.

Hmmmmm interesting! For secret Santa, particularly one with such a low limit I spend £5, usually that means that 'my person' gets a gift worth much more, up to £15 at a guess due to savvy shopping! What does everyone else do??

I'm not worried about them knowing it was me, after gifts are opened we always guess who bought for who anyway and confirm if the guess is right!!

pinknfluffy28 - sorry to hear about your job. I've been made redundant a couple of times and although it was terrible at the time, both times I ended up better off in the long run....hopefully it will be the same for you x

chirpychick - stick with levan (we all love the name!) i had bad reactions with my ds1's name. he is called Ronnie and only one family member liked it! just about everyone asked if we had a old family relative called ronald lol! no! we just like it!
    everyone loves it now.
we all get ALOT of talks from people about the Kray twins, made even worse by the fact that one of his best friends is called Reggie lol!

dd is lucy so no problems/comments there!

ds2 is called Cole. which was met with 'is that one of these made up names?'. no actually it is one of the oldest names of english heritage! and since he was born the amount of people who said 'oh so and so's son is called that' so not that 'out there'!
we also get asked if we are Cole Porter fans or like the Sixth Sense!
