Good luck Kinky Linky with your crafting weekend can't wait to see all the pictures :) you are inspiring us all and making us smile (particularly on a Friday night after a glass of vino)
I'm saving myself for Bents and hoping I'm as mesmerised as I was last year. And is the real Santa still there? I booked DGD2 to have breakfast with Santa on Christmas Eve and I can't explain how excited I was:) Only to have them cancel about an hour later cos DGD2 was too young:( I was so disappointed there were almost tears! But I will be in first for next year:)
Another no spend day and its really killing me now with all you temptresses
doing so well. I need a proper sort out and a space to do some wrapping. Want to take the time and enjoy it this year like somebody else has already suggested might allow myself to do a couple each week:) xxx
    The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
    All year through

christmas 24 is live from 8am!! (channel name has changed)
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Got handed my notice at work yesterday. New manager has decided to make 3 of us redundant and were all working mums who can't be as flexible as the teenage gimps! It's going to make things really tight for us. I'm hoping I won't be out of work long, but we have to prepare for the worst. My dh has been amazing over it trying to reassure me we can manage etc but I feel so guilty that my family are going to have to make such drastic cut backs. It has well and truly demolished my christmas spirit. But on a positive note I guess today will be my last sat having to work a 9 hr shift for a while :-(
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Sorry to hear bad news. What sort of work you do? Many places taking on Christmas staff.

It might not be much comfort but you will cope and you have support of dh. Sending you hugs:grouphug:

Hi everyone sorry haven't been on for a while been in sick kids with dd3, so mentally tiring!

Not had time for a proper read-through.

LOVE the name Levan, it's original without being weird (iykwim) and it a cute name that would suit a baby but also could suit an adult too - big thumbs up from me! Go with your gut though it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!

I always wanted a little girl called holly but when I had dd1 I wasn't married and it sounded waay to xmassy (my maiden name is Yule lol) and hubby never liked it for dd2 & 3 so he named them (I'm actually bad at picking names, very postnatally had the ridiculous idea of giving dd3 husbands first name as her middle name, now we've looked into changing it!!) But I now have a Zoe, Amy & a Megan. I think I may get a girly dog one day and call it holly pmsl.

Very jealous I can't come for a meet up with you all, I may be a little huffy that day! (Do take pics though and share on here!)

Went to garden centre today with some friends for a cuppa, saw the displays and I may book for dd's to have 'supper with Santa'
I also bought some Yankee tarts 'snow in love' they smell gorgeous.

Linky - I love all of your ideas and would love to read a blog when you do one - I may try your choccy slabs - would it work in a metal ton or not turn out as well? (Btw may have to stop calling you linky as my predictive text always puts kinky in haha)

Hope all is well sorry if I missed anyone out

    JJ
    Xx

My little girl is called Holly and people always say ohhhh was she born at Christmas..and I say no her birthday is halloween..and theres always a tumbleweed moment where they are trying to figure out if its some sort of joke..lol..She also has hubbys name as her middle name buy spelt Jaime..except nobody else ever spells it that way either:o
