Ooo that was me :o But please don't let what I said put you off, it is lovely - but for me it isn't as good as previous years! You can still very much absorb yourself totally in Christmas. :D In fact, I did see one adorable little girl about 3-4yrs old, throwing a strop and telling who I assume to be her Grandad "I want to go now, its TOO MUCH Christmas!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl: too much Christmas does sound good. It's just an internal debate as to whether it's good enough for the hour and a half drive :A

It's a good 45 minutes on a clear run for me. My parents (bless them) said it normally takes them much longer...they hadn't thought of using the motorway! They were impressed and said they will 'try it' next time as we got home so much quicker ;)

    Xmas Saver!
Our 99p Store was playing Christmas music today. One member of staff was singing along at the top of his voice.:rotfl:

Couldn't work out if he loved Christmas or was just trying to empty the shop.:rotfl:

Hi everyone sorry haven't been on for a while been in sick kids with dd3, so mentally tiring!

Not had time for a proper read-through.

LOVE the name Levan, it's original without being weird (iykwim) and it a cute name that would suit a baby but also could suit an adult too - big thumbs up from me! Go with your gut though it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!

I always wanted a little girl called holly but when I had dd1 I wasn't married and it sounded waay to xmassy (my maiden name is Yule lol) and hubby never liked it for dd2 & 3 so he named them (I'm actually bad at picking names, very postnatally had the ridiculous idea of giving dd3 husbands first name as her middle name, now we've looked into changing it!!) But I now have a Zoe, Amy & a Megan. I think I may get a girly dog one day and call it holly pmsl.

Very jealous I can't come for a meet up with you all, I may be a little huffy that day! (Do take pics though and share on here!)

Went to garden centre today with some friends for a cuppa, saw the displays and I may book for dd's to have 'supper with Santa'
I also bought some Yankee tarts 'snow in love' they smell gorgeous.

Linky - I love all of your ideas and would love to read a blog when you do one - I may try your choccy slabs - would it work in a metal ton or not turn out as well? (Btw may have to stop calling you linky as my predictive text always puts kinky in haha)

Hope all is well sorry if I missed anyone out

Oh, I hope dd3 is Ok.

You need to use silicone really, it will stick to tin and you will never get it out.

And if you want to call me Kinky, you go for it. I have been single for over 15 years, and there is absolutely nothing kinky about me at all. My mates will find it hysterical.:rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
PloddingAlong:P & clayton79 - thanks for filling me in about the sale of fireworks. Not come across this before so it's nice to know that it wasn't anything personal!

pinknfluffy28 - Sainsburys have a fun Spongebob bath sponge down to £1.33 at the mo. Also Spongebob bubble bath but you might be able to find that cheaper elsewhere.

Has everyone actually listened to the music played by their M&S musical tin and checked it's ok? I didn't listen to mine in the shop and played it for the first time tonight....only to discover that there are a couple of 'bum' notes on mine! Most of it sounds perfect but in a couple of places it goes wrong and sounds like those dodgy organists you sometimes get at weddings who hit the wrong keys every now and again! I was going to take it back to exchange it but my OH thought it was hilarious and told me we needed to keep it as it'll make everyone laugh! :)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
My friend is going to NYC in February, and possibly Boston though need to check that. I'd love to do her a hamper as she's not been to NYC before (or the USA for that matter).

Any ideas what I can add, other than a guidebook, for about £30?

    Cheers :)

The organist at our wedding fluffed the notes to Make You Feel My Love as I was going up the aisle - kind of ruined the big moment but had a wonderful day anyway :) my tin sounds ok, will give it a proper wind up when DH isnt home as he is my very own Ebeneezer Scrooge :)
Also had my first Starbucks gingerbread latte of the year today! Have to say, not as yummy as I remember it from last year. May have to try another special Christmas coffee :)

I ordered 2 salted caramel mochas last friday and ended up with 2 gingerbread lattes instead and they were awful! I may complain tomorrow

Oh no! What a shame...but at least that was only a tiny part of the whole day so hopefully everything else was just right for you :)

Trust me to pick the only dodgy tin! I'm still thinking of taking it back to change it but it's probably worth keeping it to see the OH in fits of laughter.....even if it is kind of at my expense! :D
